yay, that's awesome, & a big accomplishment too. i saw some shirts on ebay that i think are awesome. in real timy letters they say, i have autism, what's your excuse?

isn't that cool? because when people see an autistic pddnos child having a meltdown, they can be really nasty, assuming the kid is just "bad" or undisciplined.

good for your son... & good for you!

btw, how old is your son?!

we have been in a situation where a lady thought he was spoiled
We were on one of our "homeschool field trip/vacations" and he had a meltdown and ds and I were gathering things up while trying to defuse and an older woman
said "someone needs a good spanking" I replied not that it is any of your business but he is a special needs child to which she told me

"then he should be kept at home where he belongs and NOT out in public"

grr... i would've said, yes, someone DOES need a spanking. now bend over old lady. ok, i probably wouldn't have said it. but i'd've thought it! how terrible.

my friend's daughter laughs a lot, over what we don't know!! she was laughing in the library & the librarian actually shushed her, she was barely five at the time. my friend got SO mad.

i bet your son is adorable. is he a handful? hannah is! energy to spare!

of a handful as he used to be
he is mellowing a bit in his old age ROFL

Mommasgirls -it was all I could do to NOT say something -ds was more important but my teen did mutter a not nice name and wanted me to let him tell her off......

someone told me I should have told her SHE shouldn 't be allowed out in public LOL
