I have had 2 c-section and am planning to have a third one. My last labor was a 36 hour home birth I never got past 4 centimeters so I went to the hospital and had a c- section. I don't want to try agian so I will see my home birth mid wife up until my due date then she will cal the dr on call at the hospital and we will go up and have a c-section.

I really don't know what I am going to do. I had a c-section for my first (and only) child's birth after a total failure to progress (days of induction and virtually no progress). After the c-section, the doctor told me a had a "heart shaped uterus" which made it much harder to progress. I don't know if I believe it. I don't know what I will do but I am afraid to go through that again. I suspect I'll have to live with uncertainty until the due date (and likely beyond). If this baby doesn't drop and I don't seem to be headed into labor, I will be likely to opt for c-section instead of induction this time.

I had a c-section with my first, and I'm still trying to decide whether to go for a VBAC or another section this time around.

I'm still opting for a vbac (or hba2c, more specifically), but I don't have a care provider yet, and realize I need to get the notes from my second surgery as well... I have long labors as well, but I figure that I'll end up fine -- it may just take a few days... (literally)
Good luck with the c/s. I must say my 2nd one was much better than the 1st -- if only that I knew what to expect.

I'm debating this question myself. I would love to VBAC but I'm just so scared that something will go wrong and I won't be able to bring my baby home again. I guess I'll see how things progress and go from there. My last birth I did get to 10cm, suction, episotimy......he still wouldn't come....resulted in c-sec. :( So who knows what I'll decide on...:shrug
