I went to the doctor yesterday (12dpo) to get another prescription for this ongoing yeast problem...I asked for a pg test because DH and I have been nonchalantly TTC and wanted to make sure I wasn't pg before I started any new medications. I did a urine test and the nurse said it was negative (she only waited about 20 seconds before looking at it though). I went home, but just knew I was pregnant. I had been having some symptoms and my usual premenstrual spotting and moodiness hadn't started yet. I took an internet cheapie test and it was positive--the line was faint, but there, and showed up almost right away. I took a FRER this morning and it was definitely positive--a nice faint pink line! I just stared at it :jaw . It took sooo long to concieve my son, I never thought in a hundred years it would happen on the first month!
I had to find out for sure if I was or not (my DH refuses to believe hpt work). I went to the Health Department and :+ !!! I'm really in shock!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
I got pregnant my first month trying, too! It's my first and I really don't believe it yet-- it was TOO EASY, I feel like it's going to be taken away. And I feel bad about mentioning that, because others have so much trouble (as I am bound to another go round).
Anyway, yaaaaaaaay for you!

Congratulations! I'm really glad for you! We got pregnant quickly the first time (almost too quickly--I was the matron-of-honor in a wedding when dd was 10 days old) and it took a little longer this time. But in both cases, the timing was good. This time, dh was more eager to TTC than I was, so by the time I got pregnant, I was really happy about it.

Hi i am 27 weeks with my first and now more than ever it feels surreal. i can't believe this is actually my body. even though i feel little desiree kicking inside me all the time it's so hard to imagine that I am going to a mother. we weren't trying ( I am 19 and fiance is 21) so it came as a surprise. i was so happy and it felt more real in the beinging than it does now. i guess im a little backwards but i know how you are feeling.
My congradulations on your second pregnancy. i hope and pray that everything will go well with you.:thumb

Congratulations!!!!!!!! :)
I got pregnant my first month trying, too! It's my first and I really don't believe it yet-- it was TOO EASY, I feel like it's going to be taken away.
My DH thought it'd take 6 months to get preg with #1 because everyone he knew took a while. Well... we were preg first try. Totally shocked him! :lol And while my baby decided to come out early, he's perfectly fine and didn't get taken away. :wink I'm on #2 now, and apparently, I'm fertile myrtle! First try was an early m/c (never even got a bfp, so it didn't feel like a m/c - felt more like "not preg this month"), and the next month produced this little baby that's growing inside me. :)
But I agree that it's hard to mention it to other people, since I have a bunch of friends who have had infertility issues. I have 3 friends who had to adopt, 1 who used a surrogate after losing a baby in each trimester, 2 friends who finally got preg after IVF (at the same time, and they live down the street from each other and are pretty much best friends), another friend who's been trying since I was preg with #1... All I can do is pray for all of my friends that they'll one day be blessed with a child, either by their own womb, or via surrogacy or adoption. So far, all but one have become parents or are preg now (the two IVF friends are due in Oct and everything is going well with them so far).
