Can anyone give me the basics of Hypnobirthing that you have learned from a class...or direct me maybe to a good website or book that I could gain some good info on it? I really, really wish I could afford my local class ($275!), but I am giving up everything to have this home waterbirth and will not have any money for anything else. Any recommendations is greatly appreciated.
Thanks mamas...

Keep an eye on the FSOT board. There have been a number of them posted for under $100.

I am not sure what you mean? What is for sale?

I bet ebay has tons of books/videos that might be helpful... You might consider checking there. I hope that helps! :)

Probably she means that hypnobirthing tapes are for sale there.

Hypnobabies (and other hypnobirth companies) sell home-study courses with CDs and workbooks. Folks who are done with them (or who are done with the similar materials they bought for their actual class) will re-sell them on the For Sale or Trade boards here and on other web sites or on ebay.

I just recently resold my Hypnobabies home study course on eBay - I'd try that. If that's too expensive still, then you could always borrow the Hypnobirthing book from your local library.

I have the Hypobirthing video if you would like to borrow it. Just pm me your address and I will pop it in the mail. I don't need it back anytime soon, but would like to have it back intime to watch those peaceful births before mid-February when my second is due!!

I've heard that the hynobabies is much more home study oriented than the hypnobirthing materials.

I just received my hypnobabies home-study materials and I love it. I've been doing it for about a week now and both my husband and I are excited about it. I really love the Hypnobabies stuff because it really is oriented for ME to do, not in a class situation. I would look on Ebay or FSOT for a used hypnobabies course.
