Has anyone else experienced this? A sharp stabbing unrelenting pain either in your ribs or on one side in the middle of your back, or if you're lucky, both at once, so it essentially feels like you're being impaled on a dull stick. It becomes worse and worse the longer I stand, but if I sit down for a few minutes it goes away. I had the same thing with my son, and it showed up at the same time(19 weeks). Last time it lasted for a couple of months. Cooking and doing dishes are excrutiating. Help! I know I can't be the only one with this problem. Last time I was going to the chiropractor every week, but it did no good. Any advise?:crap

I have not experienced that, sorry. I hope someone can give you some advice. I did have a dull aching pain that started in my right side at the bottom of my ribs right around the time I was trying to conceive, and stayed pretty much throughout. I noticed it early on this time, but haven't felt it lately.
I have had sharp stabbing pains in the area of my diaphragm that hampered my breathing. This was when I wasn't pregnant. The doctor told me that it was pleurisy, which I thought was odd since it only lasted a short time. For a few colds after that, I had the same thing, but I haven't had it in a couple of years. Yours doesn't sound like that, however, so I don't know what it is.

Yup. I listen. I sit. The thing is, it doesn't hurt if I'm racing about, working hard, or walking quickly. So I'm either a flurry of motion, or a lump on a chair. It could be worse. I just wanted to find out if I was nuts or not:)
