A pretty girl's name

I am not pregnant, but there is a name that I think is just beautiful and I see moms always asking for good names. This is a girl's name. Atheria

That is a pretty name. Do you know the origin? Also, I was curious how you pronounce Avey. Is it with a long "a"? I like it, too!

Um, I don't know the origin of Atheria. There was a young woman in Kmart one day, and I heard her family calling her name. I asked her what her name was, because I wasn't sure I heard it right , and she wrote it down for me. It really is a beautiful name. Dh didn't like it:rolleyes: He is picky when it comes to names. If I like it, generally he doesn't, and he didn't agree on Avey, until the little guy was born. It is pronounced exactly like Avery, but without the "R" And thanks! I like it too. I love unusual names.
The reasoning behind it is that I like the name Xavier originally, and I was playing around with short names, and Avey turned out to be one that I liked, and when I was pregnant, Xavier just wasn't my favorite name anymore. I still liked Avey, and so that is our little guy:love
