I had PPD with DS#1 and was on Zoloft from 6mos to 18mos.
I have been doing fine for the last 2 years without the meds but now that the date is getting closer I find myself having mild feelings that are reminiscent of the panic attacks I had with PPD.
I would love to hear any stories about pregnancies after PPD. I need to know if it happens again I can do it again. Or that it was fine the next time around, no PPD.
Thanks,
QM

I don't have any advice, but I'm surprised that no one has responded yet. I know there are moms here who have gone through the same situation.

If it were me, I would start on the meds as soon as I delivered. It sounds like you are starting to show pre partum depression -- which is finally being recognized and often treated. Zoloft is fine for nursing, so don't worry. Perhaps if you started on it right away, you could keep your dosage lower than if you waited for several months. You will likely enjoy your first few weeks and months much more if you are healthy and happy. I know that the decision to take meds isn't one to be taken lightly, but adding another child will be stressful enough without dealing with PPD at the same time.

Good luck with your delivery, and with whatever you decide to do about the PPD. Keep us posted and let us know.:love

Thanks for the advice.
I have been running in circles trying to find a MD who will take my pregnancy only Medical. I do still have some Zoloft samples from the last time but would like to have someone who's checking up on my dosage regularly too. I started w/ 25mg and never went higher than 50mg the whole time but I don't know if things will be different this time around.
Ahhhrgghhh... I'd rather not take anything at all but I won't let it get out hand like last time either.
Thanks,
QM
