View Full Version : How do you determine how far along you are?
This confused me when I was pregnant with DS, and now I don't remember what my OB told me then. If my LMP was June 5, and I ovulated on/around 6/22, would that make me 2-3 weeks pregnant, or 4-5 weeks? AAGH!!

The Ob's count from your lmp, so you'd be 4-5 wks pg. :)
OK...thanks! I seriously am starting to feel like I have amnesia from the last pregnancy!!

Don't be confused.... due dates counted by LMP go based on the assumption that everyone ovulates on day 14... If you ovulate way later than that, just start with your ovulation date and add 2 weeks, so when you ovulate you are "two weeks pregnant" - its just to get you on the same footing as everyone else so that we're all speaking the same language... because remember, the majority of folks don't chart and don't know when they ovulated, but most ladies can remember their LMP, which is why docs go based on this method. (glad you got all the ovulation confusion cleared up!!)
