This is my second pregnancy and I am *definitely* already showing. How is this possible?? I know you show sooner after the first pregnancy, but geesh, I'm not even 6 weeks along. I feel as big as I was at 20 weeks the first time. Is this normal??

I hope it's normal, because I've got the same thing going on here. :lol
I just posted a pic in the chat thread to show it... I don't know what's going on either. Octuplets? :lol

For my second I was definitely showing rather soon. Now its #3 and I'm just 4 weeks and I swear some of my pants are tight - but its all just bloating. This time around I'm not as causious about drinking only water and stuff - so maybe it has to do with something in the food?

I don't know how "normal" it is. But wanted to let you know you are SO not alone! I will be 5 weeks tomorrow and I look like I am 20 weeks. And that is when I am wearing my regular clothes (like my grocho pants and long tank tops...nothing else fits!). If I wear anything maternity, I feel more comfy...but then I look 30 weeks pregnant.
I asked DH is it was just my imagination...and he sadly said "no". LOL!
It doesn't bother me since I LOVE being pregnant! But for such a small bean still in my pelvis I am big in the belly area for sure!

Definitely showing a bit. Pic taken a few days ago at only 6.5 weeks!

Doubt that I am "showing" as I am not even 5 weeks. I can say that the day I tested (but before I thought to test) I could not believe how awfull my pants fit, and how yucky my cankles looked. I just figured I needed to pay more attention to what I was eating, and drinking. Boy am I wishing I would have just lost those extra 30 plus pounds of baby weight inthe last (almost) 2 years. grrrr

Whoops! wrong thread!
I just noticed yesterday that I'm definitely looking a little rounder in the belly. I don't think anyone else can tell yet, but I definitely notice. With DS, I didn't show until around 24 weeks, so this is WAY sooner!

It's definitely normal for subsequent pregnancies. I'm on pregnancy #4, and I'm showing enough to be in maternity pants. I think our bodies have a better idea of what to do after the first (or at least second) pregnancy, and they just get right to work with the expansion.

Yup. For at least a week now. And I'm 6wks2days. I'm out of all but one pair of pants. I'm not quite big enough for maternity pants though, so I think I need to invest in one of those bellabands things. I'm also getting fairly limited with shirts. I have a significant amount of chub anyway, and now it just seems all pushed up. Lovely!
I'm going to need to tell my mom soon. She knows what my maternity clothes look like and since I'm running out of options with what to wear... :lol
This is me at 7wks 3 days...

I am now 8wks 1d and feel like I really "popped" in the last few days...not up to taking a new picture though.
What I am sure of is that none of my regular clothes fit, I'm wearing gauchos, maternity shorts and baby doll dresses (one maternity, one not).

I am 8 weeks 1 day with #7 and I am def showing. I can tell I am bloated and what feels really wierd is I can feel all my organs being pushed up. I feel like my insides are out of place :lol I always get big fast so I know this is normal. I've never measued bigger than 38 cm though so I know it will work out in the end. Just right now is an akward phase. Miss the days of my first 2 when noone could tell I was pg till I was 6 mos.

I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow and my belly pretty much looks like yours Tika. This is my first baby but I'm already wearing maternity clothes at work - none of my "regular" work clothes fit at all, and I haven't gained a pound yet. No idea why so soon, but eh I'm not questioning it anymore :shrug I know I'm not imagining it b/c dw even says she sees it too! :lol

I'm definitely showing at 7 weeks. I can fit into *some* pants, but not all.
This is my third pregnancy.

Meggie and Tika, thanks for posting your pics too! You guys look great! :love It's one thing to read that I'm not alone, but it's nice to see that I'm not the only one with an ambitious belly!

My tummy is starting to pouch out a little. People have commented and my pants no longer fit- thank goodness that I basicly live in broomstick skirts. i think it would be more noticable if my boobs were not already getting so big. I started out at a 40DDD and now I have no idea- but these bras are way too tight. practical joke from the boob fairy I guess.:lol

Sounds like lots of us are wearing gauchos. I bought two pairs about a week before I knew I was pregnant...they are all I wear now. Sooo comfy. None of my other shorts are comfy at this point...it is very handy that gauchos are in style b/c they are perfect for this stage of pregnancy. :)

Me too...I had a friend tell me yesterday that I definitely look pregnant. She said it in a nice way, but I felt shocked even though I knew she was right. I love being pregnant and I don't mind showing, but I wasn't planning to tell some people this soon...now I may have to!

Well, as Pianojazzgirl pointed out in another thread, someone here has to have twins. It's true, statistically anyway -- maybe 2 or 3 of us will end up having multiples in this DDC!! And I have to tell ya, those dreams aren't boding well for you! :lol Nah, don't worry, it would be fun!! (I think!!)

Since I know the fundus doesn't technically get big enough to get over the pubic bone until around 12 weeks, I know I'm not "showing" but I sure feel fat LOL... I think things are getting pushed around, so I feel fluffy (and I'm not, just to look at my body).

I can definitely tell a difference in the fit of my clothes and the way my belly feels. I am 6 weeks today, and I am afraid I am going to be in maternity pants in a couple of weeks.

Well the more kids you have the sooner that will happen. When I had #5 at 13 weeks I was measuring 18. So if it helps, it could well be your uterus. :wink

I'm not showing through my chub yet (which makes its own little bump through my shirt :lol ) but I can definately feel the bump! It feels different, especially when I go to sleep (belly sleeper here). Or, I could just be in denial lol This pg was a HUGE surprise...
When I was pg with my first I didn't get a bump showing through my shirt until I was almost 7 mos! With my second, I started showing at about 3 mos. This is my third and I'm only 7 weeks :lol
(btw, hi! I think I unofficially joined your dute date club :) )

NO, don't say it! :huh I am seriously thinking about asking my midwife if I can get an ultrasound asap to make sure there aren't twins in there...
