HBers: When are you having your 1st apt?

I think I want to wait till 11-12 weeks. I have a better chance at hearing the hb and maybe, just maybe my ms will be gone and I won't get sick with a blood draw. I'm 8 weeks now so another 3-4 doesn't seem that long. What will you all be doing?

Oh, I also found out I get a birth ball and belly casting kit with my payment - how cool is that?!

hi Hearts! Just made my appointment for August 1st..really just want to verify I am preggos! Im still in total shock, Im pretty sick with nausea and extremely temder breasts, which I know is normal, but not normal compared to my 1st. I had an extremely rough 1st pg so I just wanna go early and all my bloodwork and what not. I have also had a hard time finding a decent OB here in Miami. This town has an insane c-section rate and "natural" living is a bad word, so im hoping my new ob will be a decent human being. (thats ill I can ask for at this point). Ill update with what happens at my 1st appt...

I am seeing my MW socially Sunday and will tell her then that I am pregnant. We'll see when she wants to schedule the first appt. I am not in a big hurry. I plan on refusing the doppler so timing isn't that big of an issue and I think she usually suggests a blood draw at around 12 weeks.

I still have to schedule interviews with the homebirth midwives in the area. I'll probably try to get to that sometime next week. After we choose a midwife to go with, we'll probably have to mess with insurance a bit before making that first real appointment. I'm not in any hurry, though. Not much for the midwife to do at this point, as far as I'm concerned.

I have a "consult" scheduled for Aug 2nd. I'll be around 10wks.

I have my first appointment next week, although it is not with my HB MW. I have yet to pick one of those. :)

4-5 months pg. I am starting to see a cnm (next week is the appt) to develop relationship in case of the unlikely event of things changing to hospital birth.

The midwife I think I'll be working with does 12 week appt.s. I'm still conflicted about the doppler for the 1st opportunity to hear...I'm leaning towards skipping it. We already talked about not using it after that until labor (I'm going to be a hba2c, so I want the extra assurances that baby is ok all throughout)...
