I'm in Chattanooga. Awful hard to find other AP Moms around here, isn't it?

So true,Stafl. There is a LLL group in Chatanooga, though. Perhaps you could find some like-minded moms there.
jorgiemom,do you feel alone in Clay county. I know that is a pretty rural county.
What county are you moving to,tankerwife?
Where do you all find other like-minded moms?

I found them! Or maybe they found me? Anyway, I can't describe how wonderful it is to finally have some new friends, who I can actually talk to without being criticized for the way I choose to raise my kids! I can't believe how easy it was to make new friends, once I found the right people. They're out there, just hiding!
I never went to LLL meetings here even though they meet at a church in my neighborhood. I had terrible difficulties with breastfeeding (though I did finally make it work, my story is on my website, the link is in my siggie), and the few LLL moms I did talk with weren't sympathetic at all, I actually felt more support from moms who formula fed their babies! Then, I also felt somehow inferior and tons of guilt over having to supplement, and just couldn't face being there with moms who were breastfeeding with no problems. And then there's the "Womanly Art" book, which made me feel so small and belittled my problems and really thrashed c-sections...
How far away are you all? Sorry, I have no clue about N. Georgia geography, even though I've lived here over 20 years. But my guess would be that if any of you are north of Dalton, it probably wouldn't be too far to drive to EastRidge, where the playgroup meets:D

That's wonderful,stafl!:D
So glad to hear you met some moms with a parenting philosophy similar to yours. Yay!
Sorry to hear that you felt like you couldn't turn to LLL. :( As a whole,LLL is a great resource. I'm glad that you found the help and support you needed elsewhere. :)
I'm about 45 min south of Chattanooga.:hippie

I see that you live 45 minutes south of Chattanooga......are you on the east or west side of I-75?
I'm looking for like minded moms (like you) who live north of Rome but south of Chattanooga (on the west side of 75)
I tried to email you thru your profile but you elected not to be communicated with that way. I hope this will be the next best thing ;)
Blessings,
