Preemie Diapers

I know someone who just had a 30-weeker last night. I know she was planning on cloth diapering. I'd like to get her some preemie sized dipes. Can anyone recommend a good preemie dipe?

How about a good preemie sling?

My preemie was big so it didn't really apply to us.

We got the indian preemie prefolds, and loved them. We also had a whisper wrap NB size cover which worked well once we got Sam home at around 4lbs. We almost had to fold the thing in half! :)

I washed the prefolds three or four times when I got them and they were incredibly soft. Half the time, I just used two prefolds with no cover during the day, because her bladder wasn't big enough to make a big mess. :lol We did use the cover at night though.

Also, a ring sling worked well until she got up around 5 1/2lb, at which point the Hotsling was perfect. I tried a few other types of carriers (some wraps and an Ergo) but they were all too big for her. She was drowning in them!

So the prefolds were easy enough to use?

I've only used them a couple of times with a snappi but nothing heavy duty like my kissaluvs.

The prefolds were really easy. Honestly, Sam's tuckus was so tiny that I'd trifold the one against her tush and then cover it with an angel fold. It worked well enough. A few leaks, but nothing major.

We're using preemie prefolds here too. The nb sww are huge on my guys though. I got some preemie proraps and those are almost too big. D is 5lbs 1oz and A 5lbs 8ozs as of yesterday btw.

I LOVE kissaluvs they fit pretty good on tiny babies too. A friend made me a diaper and a wool soaker for my preemie but she never wore it. I'm looking to get rid of it. Email me if you're interested. oh and it's for a girl.

KL0, Itty Bitty Buns, FunOrganic fitteds and IPFs for dipes. We had issues in the beginning with the XS FBs because of the chicken legs. For covers, the Bummis Classic wrap is smaller than the SWW, Proraps and Green Earth covers.

We are having problems with our kushies because of the chicken leg syndrome... but my preemie is a chunker now.

I had the no-butt, chicken leg preemie too. :lol He's still no-butt, chicken leg, but has a huge waist and milk belly to make up for it (at 2 years old still!). Anyway, when he came home at 4 lbs 12 oz, we used preemie prefolds and Proraps classic NB size covers. Bummis SWW NB didn't fit him until he was 7 lbs (which is what they're rated for anyway). I loved the Bummis though - just liked them better than Proraps.

They only wear preemie size for a short time though, especially if they come home 3-4 weeks before their due date. DS came home 6.5 weeks before his due date, so he got a little time in his preemie stuff. We actually had to move out of the preemie size prefolds when he started out-peeing them so easily (I didn't think of doublers though - should have done that! :o). I swear he peed like a 3 month old when he was the size of a newborn. :p

We like XS Fuzzi Bunz and preemie prefolds with whatever XS covers I could find.

When my dd came home she weighed 4 lbs. I had never pinned or used prefolds so I went w/fitteds. A wonderful WAHM (Sharleen of dimplecheeks.com) made me some itsy bitsy fitteds. Probably would have qualified as doll dipes. Funorganics were ok too but didn't fit quite as well. When we reached 5 lbs loveybums and mutts worked best for us. We didn't use covers very much...the dipes sufficed.
