And I don't mean nausea. I thought pregnancy was supposed to constipate you. I am having the opposite problem. Anyone else? Is this normal? It's not a whole lot of fun and it didn't happen with my other 2 pregnancies. I have to admit that the cramping is freaking me out a tad.

Yep, me too ... every time I eat. :( I had it with dd, too, though, so I'm not surprised. I good friend of mine who was having the same issue (she has IBS and is about 5 months pregnant) said that taking a couple of bulk fiber caplets with lunch and dinner has completely stopped it -- no pun intended. Apparently, although that stuff is marketed to help constipation, it also works on diarrhea. I haven't tried it yet but will this weekend. I'll let you know if it helps!

I don't know what's worse...being constipated 24/7 or the other!!! With my last pregnancy I had the worst constipation...talk about painful and unpleasant...:(

I tend to have loose bowels during the first 1-2 months and then constipated when I get much bigger. :)

I feel constipated, but when I finally go (every 1-2 days) it is loose?!?
So I want to eat more fiber, but I am scared to up my finber intake much, because that would cause a tummy ache too!
Also, I have been having AWFUL stomache aches at bedtime, so I am tryig to eat easil digested food at nigh and not eat past 6:30 if possible - so far it is working. The only time DH and I usually get to DTD is at night, and tummyaches are not condusive to romance:irked:
Snacking on Stacy's Pita Chips during the day has helped with the "in betweeen meals" tummy aches.

I know it sounds gross but with every prengancy I've had 'the runs' early early early in the first trimester. Then it subsides and I spend the next two months with my head in the toilet bowl. Bleh.
