Most people here have the same type of front seat. I have seen very little variation. There is quite a bit of rear seat variation, though. Here's a picture of mine, which is the standard one that most people seem to have.

A little windscreen and leg-protecting leg flaps and a pillow to put over the front bar thing are available for it.

If that's what you have in mind, I can tell you where to get it. Let me know if you need a better picture with no baby.

The one on the photo is the GMC brand; the Bobikes are "open" on the front so it's easier to put the child into it.

this (http://www.koolstop.com/bobike/index.html) is the bobike. THey cost about 55 euros, which is about $70. The GMC's are about the same price range. If you find them too expensive, ask your friend to find a used one on marktplaats.nl, they're always available and very good. You can also consider getting an extra "block", which is the piece you attach to the handlebars, and then you can easiily switch between bikes.

Also, you GOT TO make sure it will fit on your bikes; Dutch bikes usually have different stems and designs, and the seats don't fit on many US bikes! Best to take your bike to a store and have them check for you, you can always say youhave to think about it ;)

I had one there for a while that my mom borrowed from a friend, but I think she said they might not be available anymore? It was Oh so nice! This is it:http://coyotebones.org/chrono/2006_04/06/IMG_2309.html
I personally liked having the shield, because otherwise it would have been to cold, but of course that depends on the weather where you are. If you want I can ask which brand it is.
