2 months and still weepy,ppd?

I really don't know if it's ppd or if I'm just too sensitive with everything that's going on in the world or what. I get weepy and easily overwhelmed,last night I left the dinner table in tears because I forgot to put the peppermill on the table and felt like a complete failure. I think about the war,about children who's lives are being effected,and I start crying. I sometimes feel like no matter what I do it won't be good enough. I don't have any fears that I'll hurt myself or baby,just tired of crying all the time. If it is ppd what can I do? (also medicaid was cancelled and I'm trying to get it back right now so now Dr solutions at this time)

Wow--that is really tough about the medicaid. Don't rule out a doctor or therapist as an option, though. Many places work on a sliding schedule for fees and you may only have to pay $5 or $10. Alternatively, there may be support groups or counselors that are completely free. If you are a religious type, there is always that avenue--I think many churches have therapy of some sort.

I know all that can be overwhelming to investigate when you are not feeling great, so maybe enlist some help for the initial leg-work. Anyone you trust that could help? Even the Help Section (blue pages?) of the phone book can be a good place to start. There is help out there for you--you may just have to work a bit to find it, unfortunately.

That said, 2 months is still pretty early. The war, etc. is depressing enough, but with a brand new baby. 9-11 happened when I was 4-5 months pregnant, and I found it doubly horrific to think I was bringing a baby into this world . . .
