We spend about 6 weeks a year here so I think it would be great to meet some other MDC mamas!
My husband is Dutch, and he works remotely while we're here, so I'm on my own most of the time, and honestly, bored silly. We're here this time until September 5th. I also only speak a little bit of Dutch and the road rules still confuse me a bit, so I don't drive unless I have a passenger to say "that car coming out of that tiny side street has the right of way!!!!! Look out!!!" :)
We are in Sprang-Capelle, near Waalwijk (and the Efteling).
Anyone close to me? Anyone?

Hi there,
We live in Amsterdam and I'm always eager to meet other MDC mamas. However, I don't yet have a Dutch driver's license and my American one has expired, so I'm restricted to the train. I don't know if you're located anywhere near something interesting to do. If not, there are certainly kid-friendly things to do in Amsterdam, like the zoo or a boat ride or what have you.
If you're up for meeting somewhere via the train or coming to Amsterdam, let me know!

Hi Sarah! I would love to meet up with you! I don't, however, have access to a train, mostly because the train station is 25 minutes away by car and then to amsterdam would be another hour and 15 minutes or so. I am in a little middle of nowhere village that no one has ever heard of. (It is quite cute here with cows and a local windmill and even some thatched roofs. But I am sick of cows and goats and cobblestone streets as forms of entertainment. :D)
Well, it would be great to meet you but I think I am too far from you! Thanks for responding though! Are you sure you don't want to take the train to . . . the middle of nowhere? :lol

I'm not opposed to the middle of nowhere, but if there's no train station there, how would that work?

There is! About 20-25 minutes from here. I could probably beg a ride depending on timing. I am just too intimidated to take the train into amsterdam by myself with Katie.
The station is Den Bosch, and if you came in there we could walk around town and shop or something--shopping is near the train station!
