Looks like I'll be the matron of this list at age 39. My name is Jess and I am due with baby #3 on May 2. I have two dds, one 5 1/2 and one 2 1/2. The first was born on her due date and the second was 17 days late, so I am pretty sure this one will be a May babe. Both my previous births were natural, uncomplicated births in a birth center, so we are planning to go ahead and have this one at home. My entire labor with Willa was less than two hours from start to finish, so I can't see driving 40 minutes to the birth center.

I am still keeping my fingers crossed due to my "advanced age.";)

I'm Liz (30) and just found out I'm expecting #3 around May 3 :yikes: ... this pregnancy is quite a surprise for the whole family and the idea is taking some getting used to. We originally planned to TTC in another year or so but evidently our plans have changed! Me and dh are getting excited, though. Dd doesn't believe that she's going to be a big sister and ds is, unfortunately, kind of unhappy about the whole thing (this surprised me quite a bit). I'm sure he'll come around sooner or later. Hi - My name is Rose, I'm 21, I have a 10 month old son named Camden and my SO is Jason, 19.

I haven't seen the midwives yet, but I took a HPT on Sunday and got a positive. I estimate that my due date is May 1st or 2nd. Camden went a full two weeks over before I was induced though, so this monkey could very well be a middle of May baby.

I am a little nervous as I had some pretty painful cramping and tightening yesterday so they drew some blood at the hospital last night and will do it again tomorrow night - I assume they are testing for a n ectoptic pregnancy.

I'm so excited to get to know you all - my last pregnancy was quite lonely, though I still enjoyed it.

... I had a tiny bit of pink spotting this morning. I panicked and ended up at my drs office today. She wasn't too worried about it as I normally would be getting my period now (my cycles have been really wonky as of late) and she said that occasionally women do spot a little during the time they'd normally be menstrating. But she said it could also be a sign that this pregnancy isn't going to stick... but probably not.

I'm a bit anxious to see what the next few days will bring. Cross your fingers for me, ladies!

I just had a mc last month it was a surprise pregnancy. I have to take progesterone to stay preggo and I didn't start it in time. I use to have to take it to even get preggo so things are improving :thumb

We will probably be moving over 800 miles in a few weeks, cant imagine moring sickness and moving that far and :Puke ing all the way.

Morning sickness or more like all day sickness starts at 8 weeks for me and last till 16 weeks.

Hi everybody,

This is the 3rd ddc I've joined this year, and I am so hoping this one will stick. I am Chrissy. I'm 31 today but I'll be 32 on Saturday. :) I've got 2 little ones, Noah is almost 5 and Lilah is almost 2. I miscarried in March of this year and again in July.

My due date is May 21st, I believe.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better. :)

Not sure yet if I should be here. I just got a positive test today after feeling very nauseous for the last two days and peeing every 30 minutes. Ugh. I have an IUD (Mirena) and I'm really nervous about all of this. I've also been bleeding (not the last two days, but for 3 days prior to that) and I thought I had had a chemical pregnancy. But I continued to feel more pregnant rather than less, so I took the test. I'm going to the dr. Monday morning. Anyway, no due date yet, but I'm estimating, second week of May if I don't lose the pregnancy.

Congrats to everyone here! I'm amazed at how many people are already on this board. Wow!

I am cautiously happy to be here... I had a m/c in July, and I am having trouble being as ecstatic now that I know firsthand that things can go wrong. I am feeling pretty darned nauseated already, though, and I know that's a good sign. I have a 2 yo DS who still nurses, and I am due in late May. I am hoping for a vbac at a freeestanding birth center this time around.

i'm amanda. this is our fourth child. im due may 3 if i go by suspected conception. my oldest turns 10 this month, my middle one turned 7 in july and our baby turned five in june. i haven't told our oldest yet, our middle child has been wishing on a star for a baby brother for a year now despite my threats of washing her mouth out with soap (a joke as she clearly never stopped) and my youngest is ticked that she won't be the baby anymore. my husband began being the stay at home during the day parent two years ago so this will be my first child that i'll have to pump milk for while working.

Hi Aran, I also had a m/c not too long ago, in June and am feeling the same way about my current pregnancy. Its hard not to be guarded and people who knew about the m/c are even hesitant to get too excited. So I'm Jamie, we have a 14 month old son named JJ. We were actually trying to avoid, but I just got 2 BFP HPTs this morning! I should be due mid-late May based on my chart. I wasnt temping and I am breastfeeding, so I'm REALLY not sure of my ovulation day. But I estimated (mainly for all the mainstreams) that I am 4 weeks 0 days today and due 5/21.

We just moved to this area but there is a midwife that many people I know LOVE (including my doula from my last birth who lives in another state lol) So I called and left her a message this morning. Here we go!

I'm Regina - I'll be 36 when i have baby#4 in may 2007. Which will be a month before my first child's 18th birthday. This is not what i planned 18 years ago ... but that's ok.
I do not currently know my exact due date but will plan to pin it down in the coming months. I'm allowing for the fact that i may have misjudged what i thought was a period in the beginning of august and i may be due at the end of april or end of may. Either way .... 2 tests were positive. And i feel as pregant as ever already.

We had two boys back to back (19 months apart) then waited almost 6 years and had two more boys back to back (15 months apart). We will see what round 3 will bring us.

I've been fortunate to have had two healthy, easy pregnancies, and I pray that this one goes the same. I've birthed both times epidural-free in hospitals with wonderful midwives. We recently moved in with my mother's family (for financial reasons (paying off debt/saving for our own house and so that hubby can finish his degree at an accelerated pace while still working FT), so a homebirth is not an option this time either :(

I had a unmedicated birth with her despite having her in a hospital with an OB. I managed a restaurant for 11 years. I'm now a birth doula.

I'd like to have a homebirth but my dh thinks our apartment is two small and cluttered. I begrudgingly agree with the small and cluttered part, but I still would like to HB. So, we're looking into one of the four midwife run birth centers across the river in Portland.

I'm 34 years old and this will be my third child, I have 5 and 7 year old sons. This baby is due May 4 (determined by ovulation). My other two children were 3 and 5 weeks early respectively so odds are very good I'll actually be delivering in April. My track record seems to be improving a bit so you never know. I'm actually very happy with 37 weeks, it's term and you are generally ready to be done at that point:) We're really excited about this baby but we are definitely starting over to a certain extent. We kept the big stuff but don't have strollers, car seats, highchairs, etc. anymore. That's fine with me, I actually like to shop for baby stuff:)

hey ladies - a couple weeks ago, I miscarried... so, you can take me off the list - makes me sad to see my name there... essentially, I was spotting one day and I felt my cervix and it felt as it does before I start my period. went to urgent care, saw an MD who examined me and told me that cervixes were soft and mine was closed. (Well, I didn't say I was dialating you dumbass...) A couple days later, my cervix felt the same and then the next day we went on vacation. Two days into vacation I started bleeding. Trip to the ER resulted in a ultrasound that showed no baby... really, really sucked, but I had already done my sobbing crying the day I went to urgent care before my exam and even after the MD said I was ok, I knew something was up, so when I started bleeding, I wasn't surprised. It really sucks... but what can you do?

Anyways, enjoy your swelling bellies.. hopefully I will be joining another due date group soon! :)

i had a very surprise pregnancy and unfortunate miscarriage (in may). i was breastfeeding and didn't even know i was pregnant for a couple months. i miscarried a few short weeks later - it was a missed miscarriage. the fetus died before i ever even knew i was pregnant and my body held onto the pregnancy for almost two months after. i had NO symptoms outside of ds being very unhappy nursing - that's why i took the test. i am so happy to be pregnant now and happy to report that i have all the icky symptoms (never thought i would say that).

Dh and I are very excited (dd is 20-mo and too little to understand). I gave birth naturally in the hospital with dd (22 hours without meds!), and I'm planning to do a water birth in a birthing center this time around.

We're expecting #2 at some point in May (my EDD is May 12, but as DD was almost 2 weeks late I'm not expecting to see #2 until later in the month). It took us 11 cycles to conceive DD so this one time oops was a real surprise (and special treat!) :)

I've been a great fan of UC for many years, but with DD being my first I ended up going with the national health system (BIG MISTAKE!). This time I'm opting for a private midwife and a homebirth. Next time I'm definitely going for :uc!
