hello ladies,
I have not been on for a minute. Hope all is going well with the moms and moms to be here.

Question: I am 37 weeks along, soon to be 38 weeks. For the last five days or so, I have been experiencing nausea. mind you, I didn't get upset that much before, as in my first and second trimester. I am wondering, has anyone else experienced this, this far along in their pregnancy??

Also, when my baby hiccups, it last for over two minutes. Is that normal?

Thanks ladies!
Princess

Is it possible that the baby is pushing up on your stomach? If this IS the case, try making your meals even smaller and more frequent, and make sure that every bite you eat is as full of nutrative value as possible.

Otherwise, very small chance that you're just gearing up for labor and have an upset tummy!

Hiccups? Yup, two minutes is nothin! My daughter used to have them for an hour at a time, rest an hour, and start up again. Poor thing!

I've been having nausea again, too. I'm 36 weeks. My midwife says this is pretty normal (though not terribly usual).

As for the hiccups, if only my babe's lasted for a few minutes! She gets them for an hour at a time during the middle of the night and for at least 10 minutes during the day. Now that she's gotten so big, it sure is distracting!

I started getting naseua again and the OB says it is common. You can stop being nauseaus and then get it back at almost anytime during pregnancy. Just like the whole "morning" sickness is a myth, most women have it all diff. times of day, so is the "once you are out of the first trimester" no more nausea not applicable to everyone.

Getting close! Good luck with the birth!!!

Hi MaMa, I am as far along as you and I've felt the same thing, usually after eating ( or sometimes not) and usually when I lay down, I don't know how you feel about using TUMS, but it seems to really help mine. GOOD LUCK!

i feel ALOT better reading this, even fortunate. LOL. I had no idea the baby could hiccup for that long. o my.. :dizzy:

The nausea.. as many mentioned, does come and go. It is especially after I eat, or, if I get up too suddenly in the mornings. That is the worst, cause it is stronger than the usual (as in after I eat something).

Thank you ladies for sharing. I really do feel better.

Yeah...normal as far as I've read. I'm at 36 weeks and have been extremely nauseous for nearly my entire pregnancy. I just keep telling myself it's almost over!
