What a shock and how sad it is that we have lost such a wonderful person.:gloomy: I have not be able to get Steve or his family out of my head since news came to us Monday morning.

My son has loved watching him and so have my hubby and I. He has so much to show the world about animals. He brings light to animals like no other. I cant believe that he is gone.

I of course feel devastated about his young children, Bindi and Bob. They will miss out on having a awesome dad being around at dinner and also the knowledge that he had. His wife Terri... I cant imagine. She is from Oregon (where I live) and I cant imagine how hard it will be with out her soul mate and the father of her children, forever.

I was thinking about how one person has affected the way they world will be forever. With Steve leaving us, it affects animals in some way.. in turn it will affect us in the long run. One person. I only wish I knew why god would take such a wonderful person for the world and also from his family.

Very, very sad. My heart aches for his family.....

Saw this post from the mainpage and had to reply. My DD is a big fan of Steve Irwin too and we have been watching him for years. My mouth just hung open when I heard the news - and I was just torn up inside when I thought of his wife and children. Just so sad. It's been all over the news here - I can only imagine how it must be for you.

Not an Australian, but a mom in the USA here...there are a couple other threads about him, a long one at Talk Amongst Ourselves. So sad. Here in the states they are having a marathon today on the Animal Planet channel on cable TV...several hours straight of Steve love. :heartbeat :(

and a great example of being happy in your own skin and being who you really are......I am really dissapointed that so many people joke about his death....hearing jokes made about anyone dying is tasteless to me.....I really feel for the beautiful family he has left behind!

I miss his nuttiness. He was a one of a kind.
