Calling all Costa Rican mamas

dh and I are going to costa rica, hopefully to find a place to live. I am interested in hearing from people who have lived there or even visited. any info would be great. we are interested in organics, natural health, community, children. we have a place to stay initially, but we will travel some as well. we have always dreamed of moving to the tropics and now we are going to take the plunge. what have been your experiences? where are you located. tell me about the country and yourself.

Hi, I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, my husband and I are planning a move to Costa Rica in a year or two, live off the land etc.... and I am not sure what we are getting into. I also live in FL. I would definately also be interested in the info you get!! What are your reasons for moving- Just curious:confused:

My sister has lived in CR for 6 years now. She went down to teach for a year with World Teach and never came home :D! She loves it there. She's lived on the Carribean coast, the Osa Penninsula, and is now living in Parita, more to the north. If you have any questions, I can ask her. She's very familiar with the country as she has led student trips through virtually all of it. She's not a Mama, but she knows a ton of people, both American and Costa Rican.
