With dd2 I was nauseous (nauseated?) all the time during the first trimester. A friend told me to try drinking one of those coke-flavored Icees...and it worked! I know those aren't exactly healthy, but I was so miserable and the cold icee and coke syrup did wonders. I'd like to find something a little more healthy this time around, so bring on the advice :D I feel a little icky today and I know its only gonna get worse....

With my last successful pregnancy, Pepsi was about the only thing I could drink.
I have since sworn of sodas and will never drink another one. :bawl : :lol

I have found that with each pregnancy different things work while different things make me :Puke

I think technically an icee is not a soda ;) No matter what the flavor is :lol Have you seen "Cola Syrup" in the medicine aisle? I guess its just the syrup and its supposed to really help with nausea. They make some that are flavored, like berries or something. We have some that dd loves when she's sick. I guess it just coats her stomach...who knows.

Eat something with protein in it every few hours, that's my strategy.

Last pregnancy, I bought these motion sickness wrist bands from the drug store ($10 or so). They have a plastic ball that fits into a pressure point on the inside of your wrists. You have to make sure to have them in the right place, but they were very helpful. Now if I could only find them again...

I used a motion sickness band from the drugstore, too. this one was battery powered, looked like a watch and had little sensors that kind of shocked the inside of your wrist. hard to describe since it didn't hurt, but certainly helped. that was after i got over the worst of my m/s borderline hg. I had to take zofran for that part. Hope we do *not* have a repeat of that this time.

I agree with the above mention to eat something protein related every couple hours. M/S is really a drop in blood pressure so when you feel like you least want to eat something, you really need to. I had protein bars and it worked very well. :thumb Good luck to you!

Protein shake first thing in the morning and I'm fine all day. I'm drinking kombucha too which is supposed to help. Also taking a b50 complex vitamin. I was really sick for a few days until I got it figured out and I haven't felt sick since.
