Thanks for all of the support here, but I had an U/S today and there's no heartbeat . . . actually, an empty sac. I knew as I was watching that I wasn't seeing anything . . . My midwife was very kind, said a few things about perhaps we are off on dates (I know exactly when I ovulated) . . but my bHCG numbers are very high - this doesn't make sense with no baby in the sac. So, while I have another u/s scheduled for next week, it looks like this will end in a m/c.

I just hope it happens soon, as this has been almost 7 weeks now.

I have had a sense that something wasn't right for about 2 weeks now, and the sac measures 5.5 weeks. I should have trusted that instinct.

Hugs! I pray for your peace and mind and your acceptance of what is. My friend once told me to buy an angel for my m/c. Or you can find a leaf and let it go off a bridge. I guess its good to do something symbolic. I still haven't done this, but when I'm ready I will.
