Did you know she is Sarah Lee's granddaughter?
I love how it's always "cocktail time!" :lol at the end of the show.
And how does she cook in white clothes with really long sleeves and never get dirty? :dizzy:

The tablescapes are what gets me. Does anyone really do that? I'm not an entertainer but what she does seems over the top.
And she says 'fantastic' a lot. I'm talking 5-6 times per 30 minutes. 'It'll be fantastic,' 'It tastes fantastic.'
Screaming girls, gotta go, back for more later

I did not know that she was Sarah Lee's daughter. That is soo cool. :)
I like her. I don't do cocktails... but like the fact that she often includes a non-alcoholic version for the kids (or non-drinkers).
She is truly hated on the FoodTV boards, though. NOt sure why, but people are always posting nasty reviews. Personally, I like her. I don't think she cooks any less than Rachel Ray does. Both offer good ideas.
I just found out that Giada went to the Cordon Bleu. Who knew? :)

I love Sandra Lee, and Giada (although she makes all those carb loaded dishes and stays so skinny, I hate her for that, lol.)

And her head is kind of big. Both of their heads I guess.
I love Ina Garten, and Alden, of course.
having the food network on while I sew is a nice background noise.

I can not stand Simply Homemade w/Sandra Lee. Her recipies are yucky, & it should be called the Drinking Show! :bolt My dd loves her & I cringe when I hear her!!

I like Ina too! Her tequila lime chicken is really good (it's a limited edition recipe, so you can't get it online unless it's within 2 weeks of the show airing.) She gives good tips that can take you from being just a "good" cook to a "great" cook. Giada has some big ol boobies too, little body, big head and big boobies. I want to go on whatever diet she's on (unless it shrinks my head :wink )
Dh and I joke that Sandra Lee is a lush. I guess she offers an alcoholic beverage with nearly every episode because there are a ton of drinks out there that can be made, and those that drink and entertain the way she does want the beverages to match the menu.

Actually it kills me that her clothes match her decor. I do tune Sandra Lee in mostly for entertainment purposes. I've never tried any of her ideas though. And come to think of it, she does like to take a quick drink after the show.

Ina is definitely my favorite. Have two of her cookbooks. Every single recipe that I've tried has been wonderful.
Love the science of Alton Brown... but the recipes I've tried haven't been so good. No idea why. Probably me.
I like Paula Deen too...when I'm feeling like drowning in butter and cream. :)

Paula is my favorite. Alton comes in a close second. I always thought Ina was so pretentious, and I still do, but I saw her 'chefography' and I was impressed. She is a self-taught cook and her recipes are great. I wish I had her house!
Sandra Lee irritates me. Not as much as Robin Miller and her 30 minute meal rip off show, but she still irritates me. That said, I still watch her when I can.:duck:

DH thinks Sandra Lee's whole show should be called "Cocktail Time". :lol
Why does Sandra matches her background (the curtain over the sink, the plates and items on the racks behind her..) to whatever outfit she's wearing? I think it makes people doubt her cooking abilities. She's like the poor man's version of Martha Stewart. Oh.. the tablescapes are something else too. Who does that? I don't. No one I know does. Perhaps I'm not hanging out with the right people. LOL!
I don't think Sandra cooks as much as Rachel Ray. Rachel does a lot more from scratch. Sandra uses far too many processed ingredients so I avoid making her recipes but I can't help watching her show. It's just too funny to pass up. Rachel is a hoot too. Turn the sound off and watch her show. It's still entertaining to see her wave her arms around with such animation and excitement.
My favorites are Alton Brown, Giada De Laurentiis, Ina Garten/Paul Deen (neither has ever met a recipe that couldn't be improved with more butter, sour cream, or bacon) :lol

I can't stand her show. Some of the stuff she makes is gross and I hate how cutesy her kitchen is always done up to match her clothes.
Rachel Ray cooks a lot more scratch and fresh ingredient stuff. Sandra Lee is a lot of pop open a can or a jar and then heat it viola let's have a drink kinda cooking :lol.

Robin Miller has a huge mouth and teeth too! We made her Jamaican Jerk flank steak, and it was nas-TAY! I like the idea of her show, because there are days when I don't want to cook at all.

Dh and I have noticed there is something off about the way Sandra Lee looks too and it's more than having a big head. I'm not sure I should post it, it isn't nice to say. :duck:
He cracks about how cute Rachael Ray is, mostly to irritate me. So I crack back about how I'm in love with Alton Brown. I'm only half kidding though. :blush
