Puppets from fabric (sewn)

My friend has a ton of fabric that she wants to use to make puppets with children. The plan is to teach the children to sew on buttons and make little seams, but nobody she's talked to has a pattern. Any suggestions for websites or purchased patterns or books?

I don't have any specific web sites/children's books but go to your library and type in children's sewing or something close and you'll come up with a bunch of books. I did this myself a few weeks ago and came up with about 6 books with kids soft toys, puppets, and other children's accessories. These were geared to adults but has patterns, ideas and such. A few of mine were: The Baby Craft Book and The Playtime Boutique

I have an old Mothering Magazine with a puppet pattern and an article. The pattern was designed for kids to make there own. It is pretty easy and basic. I could mail you a copy if you pmed me your address.
