So, i had decided after my sons 2 month set to delay. I read a few books and spent alot of time lurking here and talking with other AP moms i know.

The 2 i didn't give enough thought to were Hib and Prevnar. They were just too new IMO and i never got them, so why are we so concerned now?

Well, my 9 month old came down with a very LOW temp and he was just basically inconsolable and all i could keep thinking was 'menegitis...' everytime the therm would stop at 95 degrees and everytime he would start crying out of no where i was getting more and more convinced.

We took him to the ER and they diagnosed Laryngitis. BUT, now im starting to second guess myself and i hate that!

Anyone have any good links on these vaxes?

There are so many threads on these in these in the archives. Just use the search function and enter the name of the vaccine or "meningitis". If your child is bf and nearing a year old, the chances of him getting Hib are extremely low. I think there will always be something terrible your child can catch, no matter how many vaxes they've received. And, even vaccinated, your child will still be at risk because of the strains that are not in the vaxes. It's scary sometimes...being a parent. But, as your child gets older, you will have more and more confidence in their immune system. Hang in there.
