I hope this doesn't seem weird to ask on this forum, but I've been having problems with our ped:( . She's been very rude about a delayed sec. for vaxing and not doing what I asked her as far as not touching his uncir'd penis.
Today I went in and we were talking about the varcella vax. I said I didn't want ds to have it. I had the chicken pox while a child and thought the vax wasn't for us. She continued to say "Well tell that to the mom whose baby just died in SD from Chicken pox, I'm sure you'd feel diferently if that was your baby". I was shocked she had attacked me like this. This is the second ped we've been to, and I just want to find somone who is willing to talk to me about these issues instead of looking down on me because I want to be informed before I inject my son full of this crap. I'm sorry I'm venting.

I live in the San Diego area and am desperate. If anyone has advice or someone they recomend that I can go and meet and talk to that would be a great help.

Again I hope this isn't the wrong place to post.

THANKS, Marie

Welcome to MDC!!

Check Finding Your Tribe Forum. Click into your state and voila!! You can search for a vax and intact friendly ped in your area. I have found my peds (in two different states) thru the fyt forum.

Good Luck

If you can't find a ped you like, have you thought about trying a family practitioner? That's what we ultimately did, and we like him much, much better.
