Does anyone have any recommendation(s) for a LC in Pittsburgh?

I was not happy (at all) with the one out of Passavant (where my dd was born), and want to make sure that I have a top-notch LC this time.

A few years ago, a couple of people I knew had great experiences with a LC named Beverly Red/Redd. I do not know if she is affiliated with a hospital or how to contact her. I have the phone numbers for the Pittsburgh LLL leaders - let me know if you want them and I will PM or email you.
When are you expecting your baby? Best wishes!:bf

Thanks for replying LEMama! We are due 11.14.03, and this will be our 2nd child.

I will definitely look Beverly. Thanks for giving her name!

I understand that LLL leaders aren't supposed to recommend LCs by name... but I squeezed a few out of one (don't want to get her in trouble ;) )

She told me about the Lactation Center at Mercy that is run Nancy Brent, who is a pediatrician and an LC. I'd really like to meet her, as I'm having some differences of opinion with my very mainstream pediatrician.

She also gave me the names Dianna Jordan & Pat Connelly. With the name that you provided, I feel really good about having 4 women to see.

Thanks so much.

:)

Your welcome, bananasmom! The Mothering boards are a another great place to seek informal breastfeeding advice. There are so many wise and caring mamas here. Looking forward to meeting you guys at a Pgh. gathering someday.:rainbow
