I have a pregnant friend in Perth, Australia. She is American and from the same state as me. She is looking for a sling and breastfeeding support.

Is there a local LLL in Perth anywhere?

Where could she get a sling in Perth?

Any other natural parenting resources would be appreciated. TIA!

I spent the first 22yrs of my life in Perth.
Its slightly more midwife friendly than other states, actually has (limited) public health funded homebirths, sadly not an option in my new home state.

The Aussie version of LLL is called the Australian Breastfeeding Association, prior to that it used to be called Nursing Mothers Association.
If she puts her post code into the search box in this page she'll find some folks nearby.

AS for slings.. I got mine oldest sling from Myer in the city, 8 half years ago but a better idea would be for her to check out the Fremantle markets, but then again I haven't been there in years. Theres more than a few crafty, hippy stores around.
Slings shouldn't be too hard to find, my mother managed to get one to tote me around Perth in 1978.
The ABA shop sells really lovely slings in Melbourne, I don't know if they have a shop in Perth but a call to them should be able to point your friend in the right direction.

Hi - coming in late here, but just to let you know the forums at naturalparenting.com.au are busy and include a pretty large Perth contingent.
