While some of you may be hoping for the 4th of July and although it is a longshot to think about being that early, I would love to have a canada day baby. Especially not living at home anymore, this would give me an excuse to get into the spirit dispite the mockings of dh! So... what do you think? Good thing to have a holiday birthday? Like the idea of fireworks?

When is Canada Day? As for Holidays, Our anniversary is July 7. If I have the baby then I guess we'll always be celebrating one or the other on an off day.

I'm really hoping for a july 7th baby as well. Me and hubby planned on getting married on 07/07/07 (lucky sevens!). But we pushed it up and got married this past may. It'd be kinda freaky if we did have our baby on our original wedding date. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.:fingersx:

We got married on 6-5-4 and got pregnant on our honeymoon with dd. When I got pre-e they were talking about inducing me on 3-4-5. I thought that would be cool! (I'm a dork! :lol ) We were able to hold out a week longer to be 3-11-5.

Dh wants this baby to come on 7-7-7 also because he says that it will be lucky. Men!!

Please fill me in on Canada Day.. what is it?

Ah, I am hurt!
Canada Day is our July 4th but we got in there before you, on the 1st. To be honest I don't even know why or what it is but it's when we have our fireworks and celebrate being canadian.

There, now tell all of your friends for me

Oh I am sooo hoping for a July 1st baby! My due date is June 29th and my last 2 were late so not to much of a long shot.

And here's a little Canadian history lesson for all our American cousins: Until July 1st 1867, Canada had been a colony of the British Empire, and consisted of considerable less land mass than it does today. On the day of Canfederation, July 1st 1867, thru a series of very exciting parlimentary proceedures and wild and raucus debate, Canada ceeded from the British Empire and turned from a colony to a country.

So yes, here's one Canadian who'd love to celebrate her country's birthday with the birth of a beautiful baby.

I like the idea of a 07/07/07 birthday! My birthday is 07/14 (Bastille Day in France), so unless my due date ends up way off, baby and I will have close birthdays.

I shall spread the word! (trumpets play) :)
Really-Cananda Day is a lot more descriptive than "the 4th of July" but you gotta admit one never asks when the 4th of July is. OK- I admit it I'm just woefully ignorant of... uh pretty much anything Canadian.
