I'm at the end of my first trimester, coming into the second, and am wondering just what discomforts are considered *normal* at this point. I've been told/have read that discomfort around the groin/pelvic area is normal, but usually later in pregnancy ... that an increase in leukorrhea is normal, but significantly so usually later in pregnancy ... and so on. Is it normal to experience the "usually later" sort of things early, or is there something wrong that I or my doctor am not catching?

Wow - I didn't know ANYTHING was "normal" in pregnancy!! :lol Everyone's different...if you're worried talk to your doc though. Sorry I don't have more to tell you!!

Ha, you may have a point. :) It's just it's a first pregnancy, so I worry, and I'm not in my native country at the moment so for various reasons associated with that I'm *trying* to avoid running to my doctor every five minutes with any little thing. Trying to, which of course does not mean succeeding. :nut

I am 14 weeks with my first and I am having pretty normal symptoms but of course can't help reading ahead in all of my pregnancy books and find that I have a lot of the "later" symptoms too. I wouldn't worry about it. I think alot of it is 1. Worry....2. Anticipation of what's to come....3. Perfectly normal as every woman is a little different. Talk to your doc about any concerns but if you and baby appear healthy then enjoy your pregnancy!:wink

Common, but not normal. We're not designed to be in such discomfort during pregnancy. See a chiropractor.

i'm not sure about the leukorrhea but pelvic & groin pain is definitely common in all stages of pregnancy. the uterus is connected to the pelvis & sacrum & ischium (all the surrounding bones) by tendons. the hormones of pregnancy soften these tendons & can cause many degrees of pain & discomfort. i agree with chiro kristin....it's common but not normal & can be treated. and chiropractic care is hightly recommended!
