Ok, I think I'm worrying myself over nothing. I hope so.
I just tried to take the bleeping dog crate apart, so I can visit my sister in PA with the dog over the weekend. The stupid thing weighs 50 ish pounds, and after dragging it out to the car, realizing it doesn't fit, and then dragging it back into the house, I am crampy and tired. I think I pulled a muscle in my inner thigh.
I didn't just f^@! this pregnancy up, did I? :(
Is anyone working out or doing anything somewhat strenuous? Did I really frig this up? Anything I can do about this?

I have no answer for you... :Hug This is my first pg.
I'm scared I am doing too much too. I am packing up our house to move next week, and I'm working more than full time. I am filling in at work in a position where I am standing from 1 pm until 8 pm. Every little twinge I feel gets me scared all over again. So far it usually ends up that I was just about to get sick again... But, will these doubts ever end? I will be a mess by the end of this if they don't! :dizzy:

just rest, honey! you'll be fine! think about even just 100 years ago-- women worked HARD! not that we don't still, but you know what I mean, I hope :wink if it were that easy to lose it, we'd be extinct by now!

I did something that I really shouldn't have done when I was much more pg than you (like 6-7 months). My fil built a cradle for Benji, and I forced open the box/crate. I REALLY wanted to see it, and dh wasn't coming home for HOURS. It was worth it, but I shouldn't have done it all the same!
You will be fine! Just rest and take it easy! You may need to do this for a few days.

I wouldn't think doing strenuous stuff this early would hurt anything - I was still showing dogs at 7 months last time (*running* around a ring gaiting a 120 lb dog) & ended up shearing a sheep 1 week before I gave birth....

:hug I don't think you could hurt anything with the baby by that. :hug Try not to worry.

You gotta relax, hun.
Your body knows what to do and how to do it. Something you may want to get your pelvis checked by a chiropractor. if you were crampy, maybe your hips are twisted and you need an adjustment. A twisted pelvis can cause a breach presentation for one. Check out icpa4kids.com for someone who works with preg mommies if you don't already have a chiropractor that you see. best of luck!
staying active throughout the pregnancy is important some muscle soreness can be okay.

I think you'll be fine. Plenty of rest should do you right. Whenever I get paranoid about stuff like that (I had wine several nights in a row before I found out I was pg), I just have to think to myself how resilient our babies really are. There are lots of women who don't even know they're pg at this point in the pregnancy (or later) and go about their lives...drinking wine and moving dog crates. And their babies are just fine! Have fun visiting your sister!

You're probably fine, just listen to your body when it tells you to stop. At 4 mo w/ my ds I was on bulldozer (D-5) working on our driveway, babes are very resilient.

I'm sure you're fine... I ended up doing lots of strenuous things when I was pg with DS. In fact, I didn't find out I was pg until about week 7 with DS (I was in denial :lol) and during that time I was competing in karate tournaments (fighting and everything!) and helped a friend move her entire apartment (loading and unloading lots of heavy things) the day before I finally took a hpt. Later in the pregnancy I would be struck with the need to, say, reorganize the living room or move the bed in the bedroom, and would usually go ahead and do it and then DH would come home and yell at me :lol. I'm not saying it's good to overdo it, but a little bit of strenous normal activity is, well, normal, I'm sure.
:hug It's also normal to worry!

You're fine :thumb I didn't know till 7 weeks along with dd, and this time I get to chase a toddler around :dizzy: Your body will tell you when you overdo it as long as you're open to listening to what it says! If you feel wiped out from something, then don't do it again, but don't worry about it. Worry can wipe out a lot of strength too... Rest and relax and drink a lot of water.
love and peace. :love

I think you'll be ok, just rest maybe-you prob strained some back or leg muscles. With ds I didn't know until I was 2wks late, so had been lifting big dogs regularly at the vets office I worked at, and then just 2 weeks ago I took down our above ground pool-man that sideing was heavy-and we didn't know yet. So far so good. But I'm not going to go intentionally lift 30+ pounds or get the heavy bins out of storage this year-I'll leave that up to ds.

You and your baby will be fine - I agree with all the pp's - our babies are very resilient! I fell off a ladder when decorating our x-mas tree when I was 10 wks pg and everything was fine... Plus I was shoveling snow in my 3-5th months!

Karate tournaments?? Heather, we really ARE meant to be due date buddies! I was still doing tae kwon do when I was pregnant with DS, and I definitely got kicked a few times too. :innocent
DoulaClara, you will definitely be fine. :hug I know it's hard not to worry though!

I just shoveled snow for over an hour. We aren't really fragile. Strong women who can withstand a lot.

I spent an hour digging around in the attic hunched over moving big boxes (looking for baby clothes :innocent ) and I could barely walk afterwards. That was the day after I tested +. I have been more careful since then, but I agree, women are strong!
