So I had a visit with a midwife at a birth center yesterday (different topic, great visit!) I will not see her again until January because of insurance issues so she tried to get me covered until then. My only comlaint is not exactly morning sickness, but nausea and extreme fatigue all day. Especilly when I am hungry. She suggested some things I have haerd of before like tea, small meals, lots of protein. Two new things (to me) were: fresh pineapple and B6.
I tried the fresh pineapple while I was cooking dinner last night and it really helped with that super hungry nausea feelings I have at the end of the day.
Then I took 50mg of B6 before bed and I woke up to my best morning in the last week. I am 6 weeks and of course there are good days and bad days, but I really think the vitamin helped.
Anyone tried this? Anyone have more information? I wanted to share in case it can help anyone else out there.

I tried it today for the first time, and I think it helped. I still feel nauseated when dd is nursing, but otherwise, I'm good!

I didn't know about the pineapple. I love pineapple, so that's great. Does it have to be fresh though? It's harder to get, that's all.

I was taking B6 to lengthen my luteal phase and I've just kept taking it hoping it will help. I'm only just barely 4 weeks though so I don't know if it's working or not. Last time I think the ms started around 6 weeks for me so I figure I still have 2 weeks of bliss lol.

Yes, it has t be fresh pineapple. I think it is expensive at my grocery store, but to be honest, it is worth it. I cut it up, put it in the fridge (cold is key for me) and nibble as necessary (al day!)
Oh, papaya is on the ist as well (never been a favorite of mine) but I guess they have a similar digestive enzyme.

I also just ordered the stop morning sickness now hypnobabies CD. It's supposed to arrive tomorrow night so I'll let everyone know how well it works!

Hey what about mango? Is that on "the list?" I love mango but not such a huge fan of pineapple or papaya (why is it only expensive fruits?).

I took B6 while TTC to lengthen my luteal phase. I'm still taking it and I'm extremely nauseous all day (and I'm only 4 weeks! This might be a loooooong pregnancy). So, I don't think it's helping me, though it could be making it less severe and I don't know. But, I think it might just depend on your body and such. So it never hurts to try!

I'm pretty much feeling nauseous all day which is so different from my first pregnancy. My lovely husband ran out and bought me two pineapples after I read this post and they really seemed to help and go down suprisingly well. Thanks for the info :)

I've been taking B6 supplements for about a week? give or take and I think they may be making a bit of difference. Nothing amazing, but things are a little better. Pineapple sounds really yummy now so I'll have to see if I can get one.

Ashersmum- I'm glad the pinneapple is working for you. That reminds me I need to buy some today.

2much2luv- Hopefully you've had a little relief. I find that although I still am nauseaus all day, it is overall less and I have a little more energy with the B6. Just when I think it is not working, I miss a day and then I know what a difference it has made.

I hope we're all past this wonderful stage soon!

I just called my husband at work for B6 and pineapple. I hope, I hope, I hope. I'm having some of the most miserable "morning" sickness I've ever experienced...

I believe the B6 works...IF whats causing your nausea is B6 deficiency.
Otherwise it just doesn't do much

FWIW, some women do really well with homoeopathic remedies..nux vomica is a popular one!
