I was just wondering if/what you all do for exercise. I haven't been working out, but decided I better get back to it. I'm starting this pg about 40 lbs overweight:blush and really want to keep the weight gain to a minimum! Anyway, I went to a little gym that opened here last year. It's tiny as I live in a really rural area, but it was great. The lady trains you, so I pretty much have a personal trainer and it's inexpensive. I am very excited about it! I'm sure I will be sore tomorrow, but I am excited to be getting into it. I feel much better today than I have all last week! So... do you/ are you working out or getting any kind of exercise?

I walk my boys to school and also walk to pick them up so I probably walk close to a mile everyday.. I am sure I should be doing more but just don't have the energy to do so.

I work at a Curves so I exercise there 3-4 times a week. It helped me lose all my pregnancy weight from ds so I'm hoping it helps keep the weight down this time around (gained 42 lbs last time!)

I have been wanting to buy a bicycle and I almost did yesterday. But when I mentioned it to my sister she seemed to think it was bad idea. Do you think I will be able to bicycle while pregnant?

I am SO jealous! If I could work out, I would walk my son to the park everyday (it is 1.25 miles roundtrip to the pool and park). We did that most days this summer, then we went swimming.

I am getting exercise by lugging a cast around everywhere. I am a little afraid of what is happening to my muscles under there, but we will see in a month. The good news about the cast is that I get a full workout with every household task.:wink

I get up early before my husband has to go to work and take an hour long brisk walk. It is a great time to think about things and see the neighborhood early in the morning. I look forward to this time every day and know that is helps keep me sane throughout the day and will keep me fit and healthy throughout this pregnancy :)

One of my good friends biked most of her pregnancy. Up until about 7.5 months. It was great exercise. I would if I didn't have lots of snow already! If you feel comfortable I say go for it!!:thumb

I was walking with our double stroller all Summer/Fall but now that it is cold here in MN, I got on the treadmill and I'm trying to do at least 30mins/5 times a week. I don't want to stay inside all winter and emerge in the Spring big and pregnant and not able to move. :lol

I've been running or biking 3-4 times a week, plus I usually bring DS out every day (we live in the city, which means lots of walking). I didn't lose all my pregnancy weight with DS, so I'm trying to stay active--but I have to keep reminding myself not to worry too much because the most important thing is the baby. But it's hard!

LOL This is me. I've been 5 months in a cast, and now a CAM boot cast thing.
What do I do for exercise? I limp around and kegels.

Tomorrow I start PT, and I hear it will hurt like crazy. So I guess I'll be getting exercise then?

Going back and forth from the new house is 1/2 mi (we're living at the front of the property), so a couple times a day w/ ds in the stroller is doing pretty well so far. If it's raining we drive :bag: Some light stretching and kegels are about the only conscious exercising I'm doing.

I alternate between 'fit mamma yoga' and 'pregnant pilates' and I take the 2 dogs on 2 15-20min walks daily with ds in the stoller.

I've been trying to walk for about a half hour (or 1.5 miles) four or five times week. It's not much, but I haven't exercised on a routine basis in a while, and I feel weird about a massive routine change right now.

Chase around a toddler. Well I've been going on a good walk each day too, but my stroller wheel snapped off. Gotta get a new stroller. Feeling lazy since reading the above posts and debating buying excercise videos and carrying around casts and such. Oh wait, maybe I'll just sit and be woozy :)
