Looking for commiseration here, I suppose. It's really quite draining. It lessened for a week or two at about 15 weeks, but now it's like nothing ever changed from the beginning! Oy! Is anyone else dealing with 2nd trimester nausea?
On a more positive note, I felt movement!!! Trying to hang on to the excitement of that...

Oh, it is so exciting to feel baby! How nice for you. I know it is small consolation, though when you are *still* nauseated. If it helps, I didn't *begin* to feel m/s abate until 22 weeks. I hope it goes away for you very soon!!

yeah, I threw up yesterday, at 30 weeks! (And then comes the indigestion.) It is definitely better than earlier, but I remember from last time I never really enjoyed food until that hospital meal a couple of hours after ds' birth!
I think staying hydrated (dehydration will make for a higher concentration of hormones in the blood) is one of the best things you can do. (But not so eas when water makes you feel so ill.
Good luck with seeing it fade away.
I had been so repulsed by the smell of coffee that I could not attend my dh's gigs at coffeehouses, and had him make his coffee in the garage. A couple of weeks ago something just switched in me, and I smelled his coffee and said, "Mmm, that smells good." I guess this third trimester is the easiest one yet. (And yet there is a whole slew of other discomforts. But nothing is as bad as nausea, in my opinion.)

you're pregnant!?! i didn't know that.. congrats!
i'm sorry, i have no advice re: the morning sickness. mine slowly tapered off around 16 or 17 weeks.. i have been looking into homeopathy for some other things, however, and i noticed there were a few remedies for morning sickness. might be worth a shot.

I thought you said miscarriage!! I'm so glad I misread. Crackers and tortilla chips worked for me, if that's any help.

Thanks, and sorry for anyone who is also in the same predicament! Everything is in order-can't possibly drink any more water than I do already & my diet is good. I think the worst part is that it's constant, worse after meals (dry heaves)-and it's non-productive (wish I *could* actually hurl sometimes!) Bleh!

I am a few days away from being 20 weeks and I am also still sick. Thankfully it has improved greatly from how it was in the begining. I was hospitalized several times for dehydration and lost 25 pounds. I am taking a medication called zofran. I don't like to, but in my case I feel I have no other choice.
I'm just happy that I can eat and live a semi-normal life now. This is my third pregnancy. I have a son who is six and I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks last July. I was sick with those pregnancies too. Although with my son I was completely over the sickness by 20 weeks.
Has anyone had sickness that went away in one pregnancy and lasted much longer in another?
