There is a possibility we might be relocating to Rockville.

I'm thrilled about some parts of this and really bummed about others, namely, leaving Maeve's school.

She's been in a Waldorf-inspired co-operative school, which I love.

I went to visit the Washington Waldorf School in Bethesda this morning......the tuition is FOURTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. :eek :jaw :cuss :shake :bang

:tiptoe

So.........What can you lovely ladies tell me about private schools in Montgomery County?

We live in Montgomery County. My kids attend public schools, but my best friend's kids attend Jefferson Montessori in Gaithersburg and she works in another montessori school owned by the same people. I believe she said that the tuition for her kindergartener (all day) is $7,000.

Thank you for the tip, 3BoysMom.

I'm not entirely sure my Waldorf third grader can leap into a Montessori fourth grade and be prepared. :(

I'm going to have to do some research.

Hello,

I know this is late, but I just found this Forum and started reading old posts... Did you find an appropriate school for you child? We also looked into the Waldorf school in Bethesda, but waaay too expensive. So, we started homeschooling using OakMeadow which is a Waldorf style curriculum. (www.oakmeadow.com) Takes a lot of time and am using other things along with it... MY son is only 4 1/2 so we are just starting out. Please let me know if you found any other Waldorf schools in the area with more reasonable costs...

Warmest Regards,

Azadeh :)
