Our community has really blossomed. We all feel blessed to have the support of one another, chit chat about life in general and AP stuff and with plans for community outreach. We are over 100 families strong now. It is AWESOME! We welcome families from all over Colorado- we have Broomfield, Erie, Lakewood, Boulder, Superior, Denver (all nieghborhoods), Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Aurora, Golden, Westminster and more- we're everywhere.

Hello there,
Thank you for your interest in Colorado Attachment Parenting (CAP). CAP is a local community promoting and providing support for attachment parenting practices that develop and enhance a nurturing, responsive relationship between parent and child. 'Crying it out' or letting a baby cry alone is NOT practicing, developing and enhancing a nurturing, responsive relationship.
We are an inclusive, unique and diverse group of devoted parents who identify with the attachment parenting philosophy. We support each other in our parenting successes and struggles as we lovingly guide our children towards a secure and successful independence. Each members unique background and perspectives bring together a remarkably valuable resource of experience and knowledge that we all benefit from greatly.
CAP is a non-violent, supportive, peaceful living community that is about living in harmony with our children, ourselves, others and our world. It is about personal growth and aiding in one another's growth, through learning and teaching. Differences of opinion are welcome given they are communicated in a nonviolent, peaceful and respectful way. Posts validating spanking as a viable parenting tool are not allowed as this violates our belief in nonviolence.
We discuss everything under the sun. We chit chat, talk about parenting, natural living, gardening, cloth diapers, knitting and of course all the AP philosophies and so much more. We have over 100 families at this time. It is a wonderful close community and we strive to keep it this way.
In becoming a member, you must agree to the following guidelines:
1. I will maintain confidential all names, addresses, phone numbers and other identifying characteristics of CAP members, their children, spouses and families unless I receive written permission from the member to reveal such information.
2. I will be cautious in posting information of a personal nature that might create legal concerns for my family or CAP.
3. I will refrain from posting in a disrespectful, defamatory, offensive or otherwise improper manner, toward a member or other individual.
4. I understand that if I violate this agreement, my posts may be removed and, if the offense is serious enough, I may be asked to leave the CAP community.
