I thought I would share this since I think it is one of the greatest books I have ever read. it should be standard reading for everyone. First of all, the book/workshops are also called compassionate communication, which I feel is more accurate since you dont have to be of a violent nature to need/read this. The book is called Non-Violent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg. It is fabulous. (Can I just say that again!) It is fabulous. Dh and I have been reading it together and using it almost like a workbook. In our case it is mostly to helpo us to learn to be clear in our communication with eachother. It reminds of of basic communication skills but also brings up some great points that has helped us as a couple. My library had it and we liked it so much that we bought it. I thought some folks might be interested.

I love that book/ concept.

I think of it as +communicating as a spiritual practice* it contains some good basic things and also some points i had not thought of and it gives a framework for how to put it into practice.

I need to re-read it again (esp since i am hormonal right now and often "forget" to be compassionate, LOL)

I highly reccommend it as well
