My dd is 18 months, and she nurses a LOT. She didn't eat solids until 2 months ago and just recently started eating as much as she nurses. I hope she continues to nurse at least until she turns 2. And then if she wants to go on, I guess I'll be tandeming! Anyone else?

Yes, I'm still nursing my 2 1/2 year old at least 2x/day, occsionally more. If he's still interested in nursing when the baby comes, that's fine with me (at least right now!) My opinion could change at the pregnancy progresses! Glad to meet another possible tandem nurser!

Nope :(
But I do have like 850 ounces of breastmilk in my deep freezer LMAO
Does that count?

I'm still nursing my 2y9mo dd, and will continue but maybe reduce a bit. I tandemed the girls for a year...only nursing dd1 1x a day, though. Right now dd2 nurses frequently, and my nipples are sore (which is why I reduced nursing with dd1). So we'll see!!

Yes! I'm nursing my three-year-old son at least three times a day, and three times a night -- :yikes: He seems to need it so much, but if there's any conflict (anybody know? With at least six times a day??) I'll have to change some things.
One of the first ways I was able to tell I was pregnant (or at least suspected -- still caught me by surprise!) was that it felt different when he nursed. Not really painful, just a bit sore and different.
Congratulations everyone! I just found out today!

I'm nursing my 14-month-old at least 6 times a day and once or twice at night. I'm praying my milk supply stays up, and I hope to tandem nurse!

I nursed through my last pregnancy and I will probably do it again but it really hurts this time!! My ds is 2 and 1/2 years old and last time I said if I ever had another baby I would probably not nurse through pregnancy and tandem nurse again. I think I will end up doing it again though because he is very attached to his "babu"

Most def will. My youngest is only 9 months and still needs it. I'm very worried though- with all my other pregnancies, the nursing child self weaned. I really don't want that to happen this time, and I'd LOVE to expierence tandem nursing. *fingers crossed*

ds is 16 months, still nurses several times a day, several times a night. He's eating more solid foods these days and going longer between nursings. I think he feels the change. The combination of my moods, foods, milk taste change?, and I *think* my supply is slightly sufferring, but lots of oatmeal, water, and some :broc: help a lot. I plan to nurse through and tandem. :) Going with the flow.

I'm nursing my 15mo old around the clock. He just started solids a couple months ago. I am so so tired and I know waking up at night to feed him doesn't help. But I'm determined to nurse him through the pregnancy. I made it to 4mo of pregnancy for nursing his sister, but she was nursing way less to begin with. Maybe I can make it longer this time if I keep up my fluids and protein.

My daughter is 9 months, and pretty much exclusively breastfed, so I anticipate nursing through the pregnancy and tandem nursing afterwards :)

My 22 month old still nursed 6+ times a day. I have no plans to wean him, but I wouldn't mind cutting back some. I'm really sore. It looks like when baby E comes we'll be tandem nursing :D

If I'm pregnant, I will be nursing and hopefully tandeming. DD loves her boobs. If we're at home, she likes me to keep them out for her :lol
So here's a question: I feel no difference in my boobs or in nursing. I don't know that I'm pregnant, but I might be. I haven't taken a test. (I don't know why, but I just have a test aversion -- I guess I'm annoyed at myself for not charting well enough to be able to just rely on my chart to tell me.) I'm wondering if others who definitely are pregnant are still feeling no difference at all. The fact that I don't is making me think either that I'm not pregnant or the pain/discomfort isn't as bad when you have a really big supply (DD doesn't eat a whole lot of food).
If I am pregnant, I ovulated somewhere between November 16-21, so I guess that would make me 4-5 weeks.

I'm 6 weeks today, and I feel no discomfort at all. I thought it was odd too, considering how many people I've heard of that got pg and said that nursing became extremely painful.

It depends. Sometimes it still feels the same, sometimes my nipples hurt a little as if her latch is off (but it's not that I can tell)
Interestingly enough for a week or so she's been telling me that she doesn't like "moo" (our word for nursing) She still does it, but says she doesn't like it a couple of times a day.

Nope! DS will be two in a few weeks and was nuring on and off with no end in sight. DH and I were actually out of town last weekend just the two of us when we found out about baby #4....and I decided just not to start up again. I nused DD on and off during my pgcy with DS and I really didn't like it and I REALLY have no desire to tandem nurse after the baby is born. DS seems to be fine with it. The couple times since Sunday that he has asked I told him they were empty and he could give them a hug, which he did and then went on his way....

Ouch.. it started to really hurt when he first latches on.. especially the left breast -- anyone else experience pain?

Yes I've started to have nursing pain. Part of the problem is that he's just nibbling anymore, and he's off and on the nipple the whole time. I have started to limit him more and give him snuggles or a drink or a snack if he's really not getting down to nursing business.
I don't know how much longer I'm going to nurse him, I don't want to tandem so I think I'll nightwean him after Christmas in the hopes that he'll sleep better (and me too, I'm exhausted) and then we'll go from there. We're moving March 1 so I think I'll continue to nurse at least until we get settled in, but I want to proceed gently so if he really wants it, I'll do my best. Taking it one day at a time.....

I had pain before I found out about the pregnancy, but now I don't. Maybe I've blocked it in my mind since I know why:lol

I am the same as the pp. The latch hurt so bad a few days ago and now it doesn't hurt at all. Nursing didn't really hurt with my last pregnancy either

My nipples are a little bit tender, but I think I'm getting used to it. Nursing was definitely uncomfortable last week - and now it's fine. Can't be as bad as the first 6 weeks with DS, when we both had thrush and didn't know it. OUCH!!!
I'm eating two bowls of oatmeal a day to try to keep my supply up. I will be heartbroken if my milk dries up, because my 14mo is nowhere near ready to stop nursing.

Hopefully nursing throughout, although we seem to be having supply issues ever since I got pregnant... sigh. :gloomy:

Me! My daughter is almost 2 (3 more days!) and still nurses 1-2 times a night and eleventy-million times a day. Okay, maybe more like 6-8 times a day. I'd love to tandem nurse. I have a streak in me that likes to freak out my in-laws and that would totally do it :wink
No, that's not the real reason. I plan on CLW and don't see any reason for this pregnancy to change those plans.

DS is only 12.5 mo, so I am hoping to be able to nurse through the pg and then tandem.
With ds my breasts were SORE, but I think I was a couple weeks further along at that point than I am now. I get twinges of pain sometimes, but nothing yet that I can't deal with.
I worry about supply since ds nurses for 90% of his nutrients. I need to make some more granola... mmmmm...food...I can't keep my mind off it these days.

I'm hoping to be tandem nursing my 11 month old. it's good to see others with small babies here. I can concerned about my supply dropping and my dd isn't much of a feeder now and she might self wean which I think I would find sad (or if it's starting to hurt, maybe not).
So I'm in the yes, maybe club

I want to try to continue to nurse. Our DD is 15 months and nurses a lot in the evening and early morning and a few times during the day, so not ready to wean! I am feeling a bit sad for her that we already got pregnant (it took us 3 years and IVF to conceive her so we are very surprized to be already pregnant with no. 2) so continueing to nurse her will perhaps help me with those feelings.

Just found out :lol ...and 3 1/2 yr daughter is still nursing. Mostly at night...but sometimes occasionally through the day. I am open to continuing now and after baby - curious as to how DD will do.

My youngest will be 2 the day after Christmas and he still nurses 3 or 4 times a day and VERY often at night..lol.
I've never nursed past week 10 of pregnancy, but I'm going to try to this time as he definitely isn't up for weaning yet.
