Creating YOur Community Support

What have you done to create community support for yourself?
How is it going?

I have started a "house fixin" co-op
(We are swapping time working on each others hosue projects, with one member watching the kids at a seperate location)

and a dinner swap. (Every family take a turn at MAKING A meal for 4 families, so 3 times a month you just ahve to pick up your whole meal)

We have just begun these ideas, so will let you know how they decvelope.

i am lookiung for even more ideas.

what intruiging ideas! (NAKing herre)
where are you finding the friends to do this with? my neighbors/neighborhood seem so insular. perhaps b/c we're in a socal suburb w/ lots of commuters...
i'd be interested in hearing more (and typing more0 when i 0don't0 have mr/ twinkletoes dancing on the keyboards...)
