so i was looking at the box and reading the info and the control window part of the test never came up with a line.. it says its not correct unless the control window has a mark as well as the other.. so i guess ill have to retest again to make sure... :sneeze:

Definitely a faulty test. (I always read the instructions meticulously even though I've peed on a million sticks!)

Test again and keep us posted!!!

The most common cause for a faulty test is keeping it in your pee too long. Didya?

Get some dollar store tests. LOL.

You can't say it's over until AF shows! :hug

What test did you use? If you want you can pm me your address and I'll send you some of my 10miu internet cheapies that were giving me a BFP at 12 or so DPO? I have to go to the post office tomorrow anyways. :)

Where about's in Canada are you? I know drug stores in Alberta and I think Ontario at least sell the New Choice tests, which I *think* are the same tests as the Dollar Tree ones you read about from the girls in the states, they are sensitive and cheap too.

I had that happen to me with an expensive test, when I was pregnant earlier this year. I didn't think the store would give me my money back so I called the 1-800 number on the back of the box. They'll ask if you have either the box or the wrapper the test came in and want to know the lot number on it (if not it was no biggie ). Then they gave me the option of either sending them a photo of the faulty test and receipt and I'd receive my money back OR they could just mail me another test. I opted for another test and surpising to me they sent two.

So I'd say YES but only if you call the toll free number.

What I hear a lot is: There are no false positives, only false negatives..

The company should refund your money if you call. Since the ctrl line didnt come up then the test was faulty so you dont know if it would have been pg or not.

Was anything out of the ordinary going on for you this last cycle? More stress anything like that. Because that can delay your ovulation and cause AF to be late or not show up at all.

i called and they are sending a replacement.. but it will probabaly take a while..

to answer your question MCatLvrMoMof2..

it was my first pp moon, so maybe my body has decided to stop again?!.. im still nusring my 12 month old dd a lot.. more than 12 times a day and often at night..but i really do feel a lot of pregnancy symptoms.. i guess i could be just fighting something, but im not especially stressed out about anything. in general my moon times are pretty regular, but it was my first in like 20 months..

i will wait till monday to test again (if af hasn't arrived) and update you all..

thanks everyone!

Since getting my pp af back when ds was 5mo :irked: I only ovulate occasionally tho I do have af every 50 or so days. I started charting again to try and see a pattern but there isnt one. Sometimes I ovulate then have af 10-16 days later sometimes I do not O at all and have af anyway *sigh* sucks.

I got AF back around 11months PP while still nursing very heavily. My first cycle was about 45 days long, and I had been a very very regular 29 day cycle all my life. My OB told me that while nursing more than 3 times a day, I shouldn't expect regular periods. It took me 3 more cycles to become regular (and pregnant).

With that said, I hope I'm wrong and you are pregnant!

My first cycles ppaf were both MUUUUCH longer than previous... I usually have 23-24 day cycles, but ppaf cycles start at about 45 then work down in a few months to normal. So maybe it's just that. Might not mean you aren't pregnant, but it could be a long cycle. I started charting to find out what in the world was going on.

I was in your shoes yesterday. I was at least 8 days late (wacky nursing cycles, that's why I say "at least") and had been sometimes feeling all of the following: ravenous, light-headed, lightly nauseated, and even a bit of what I recall round ligament pain feeling like. Every day AF didn't come. I was sure I was pregnant, but since I was a bonehead and hadn't been charting, I needed a test to confirm it.

I went and bought two yesterday. I wondered why I was bothering, since I was certain that I was pregnant. I tested in the late morning on pee from yesterday morning. I figured a few hours probably wouldn't be enough time to make all the HCG go away. Negative (but I did get my control line). Then I was confused. I didn't believe that the fact that it was slightly old pee could really change it that much, but I was sure that I was pregnant!

AF came this morning. I'm still not convinced, though. Maybe AF is actually a really early miscarriage? Could I really have invented all of those symptoms in myself? Anyway, I'll just think of it as AF and move on, as we weren't quite ready to start trying (soon, though) and I'm really not ready to risk the chance of DD weaning due to pregnancy.

I hope your next test shows whichever result is more pleasing to you!
