DH and I spent the evening having a dinner party with a few members of both our families. Well like most of you ladies here, we planned on telling the family at Christmas. WELL. The conversation had gotten to the "I had a fish dream" by my aunt. So of course we played the game with the rest of them. And who would have guess my mom and his mom said it was us. We tried to play it off and pass the blame to his sister and her husband BUT he had a vasectomy. Then we tried to pin it on the aunt who had the dream. But her husband is in Iraq (been there for about 5 months). Well by that point ALL the attention was on us. So my husband broke the silence and told the truth. I wanted to smack him...lol. My mother then piped up and said they had a pow wow about me and that on Thanksgiving. How the heck could they have known at Thanksgiving...when I didnt even know on Thanksgiving? Gawd I love em and dislike the fact that its out now, but I wanted to tell them in some cutesy way too but I guess there's no point.
Question to you ladies now is...Has anyone in your family or a friend already told you that you were pregnant? Even if you admitted it or not.

In some cultures...especially the ethnic...A fish dream signifies some one close to you is pregnant. Now if your asking what does fish have to do with pregnancy...I have no friggin idea...lol

My dd says that she thinks i must be pregnant and that I should test to find out. I think that she has made the connection between me being sick all the time and the fact that it could be a pregnancy causing it. pretty intuitive for a 7 year old. I told her we see what happens.

Thank you for explaining that. So I just had a dream where I was fishing and I caught two turtles, does that mean I'm having twins? :lol

I didn't have quite this experience, but my 94 year old grandma did tell me I was pregnant when I called to tell her. I was planning to wait, but her heart has started to fail and I wanted to give her some good news. We talked for a few minutes and I was about to tell her and she beat me to it! She was pretty pleased with herself for being right, too. :-)

Not this time, but when I was PG with my DD, my Mum knew before I even did. When I M/C in July, she had no clue. I haven't told her about this one yet, but I'm wondering whether she already knows... I suspect she does (after talking to her on the phone the other day), even though she lives 3000 miles away! She arrives this week for Christmas break, so I'll find out on Friday if she does 'know':lol

My 7 year old is so oblivious. I even have pregnancy books laying around and she hasn't noticed. Plus, it's my third and I'm already starting to pooch out.
