I am sick pretty much 24x7. I haven't thrown up or anything but I feel nauseous nonstop. I have tried eating, not eating, drinking more water, sleeping... I told DH yesterday that he impregnanted me with the flu :lol Is there anything that I can try to settle my stomach? Do I have some kind of vitamin deficiency that is causing this?

I have that content nausea all the time too, as well as throwing up a couple of times a day. Obviously I haven't figured out how to make it go away, but I have figured out how to help myself actually vomit a little less often. I am eating tiny portions, drinking lots water, not letting myself get too hungry, sipping broth soups, and ginger (ale, cookies, candy, or tea) seems to take the edge off. That seems to minimize the number of times I am actually throwing up. I hate feeling this sick, but it is soooo wonderful to feel pregnant. :D

Try different things until something works. Eat what you can even if it seems weird. Freshly cutup pineapple has really helped me. Peppermint sticks or gum helps. Water bothers me, but I can drink water with lemon. I tried the wrist bands with my first pregnancy and they didn't help. I've not tried Ginger, but it doesn't even sound good right now. Sometimes I need to eat something just so I can eat something. (if that makes any sense) If it gets so bad that you're putting yourself and baby in danger, there are a couple medicines that help. That would probably be my last resort. I don't know if it means you're defficient in anything. I take several supplements and can't imagine that I'm defficient.

I feel a little better knowing that I'm not alone in my suffering.

I haven't gotten morning sickness yet with this one :( :crying but with the two before I found that sucking on peppermint lozenges worked wonders. It needs to be the ones that specify being made with real peppermint oil though. My best friend (also pregnant) swears by putting a drop of pure peppermint oil under your tongue. Also sipping a bit of peppermint or ginger decaf tea seemed to work on mild nausea too.

Hi! Check out this website: www.helpher.org even if you do not have hyperemesis, you may find some helpful information. They talk about alternative ways to help relieve nausea as well as inform you about the latest research about the drugs that help hyperemesis. Good luck and congratulations!

Peppermint tea sounds really good. I will have to go get some.
