When I last went to the OB, right after Thanksgiving, I had gained 12 pounds. I am now 16+ weeks, and my weight hasn't changed since then. I'm freakinig out that something might be wrong. Is it possible to have a weight gain plateau? It seems like my initial weight gain (12 pounds in 14 weeks) was a little fast. Or should I call my doctor because I suspect something is wrong? I haven't felt the baby move yet (or at least I don't know if I have - this is my first).
FWIW, I had to have my thyroid meds adjusted a bit... that happened about a month ago. I was hypothyroid before pg, and seems like my numbers were a bit off.
TIA!

This is completely normal and not something I would worry about. I am 26 weeks and have gained around 9-11 pounds. Some women gain it all in the first 4-5 months some don't gain until the end, everyone is different.
i wouldn't worry. i gained about 5 lbs after thanksgiving and haven't gained a lb since. i am 38 weeks and have gained a total of 30 lbs...i have also been eating better since thanksgiving and walking a ton...so i think i am just evening out (the baby may be gaining, but i may be losing with all the walking)

Yes, do not worry. My weight gain has been very sporadic this pregnancy. I gained a lot at month 4-5, and very little before and after. I am 37 wks now, and my weight has been steady for the past 2 months! (baby is growing and growing, but I am losing that extra padding I put on mid-pregnancy).

I've done this too. I'll go a month with no weight gain, then all of the sudden I'll put on 5 pounds almost overnight!

Whew! Thanks for all the responses guys - you know, if there's something - anything to worry about, I'll excel at it! :lol I have an OB appt this coming Monday, so I figure if there's a problem I'll find out then. But given all this info you have given me, I'm going to assume everything is just fine!
