Where to put the baby & toddler in car seats?

My 2 year old dd is behing the passenger seat. I was thinking I'd mover her behind me so I can see the baby. But that is one more change for her and we interact so much (probably too much). She wants me to hand her books, show me how she's dancing to the music...

So which child should go behind me?

Also does anyone know of a good mirror for me to put up front so I can see more for whichever child is behind me?

I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old. I kept my DD behind the passenger seat and I have one of those mirrors that hooks on the seat rest of the seat the baby is in and it really works, I can see him just fine. And if I have to reach around the seat to soothe him, I can reach better than if he was behind the passenger seat. Hope this helps :)

I have been thinking about this too. I drive a Chevy Cavilier and the newborn seat won't fit behind my seat so my only option is to put ds behind me and the new babe behind the passenger. I might have to drive our truck!
