Anyone have any idea of how much it costs to have someone come paint the outsideof a house? We're in AZ, so we have stucco walls and would like to paint, but don't want the hassle of doing it ourselves.
Thanks.

Look in the Yellow Pages under "painting" or call a contracter that you trust for a referral.
The cost will depend on several factors: size of the home, single or multi-storied, amount of pre-painting clean-up required, that type of stuff.
We're going to hire someone to stain the outside of our cedar home next in two years when we'll need to re-stain again. Dh has been doing it the past 10 years and doesn't want to spend his time doing anymore! I expect it will run around $2,500+.

Thanks, I will be researching locally, but I wanted to get ballpark figures, if possible. Like, are we talking 5-600 or 5-6000, that sort of thing.

We got estimates this last summer. We live in a tri level, it really depends on how much you have to paint. Anyway, cheapest was student painters, at like 1,800 and the most expensive was like 30,000, yes you are reading that right. We saw these people at a home show and they came out to give us an estimate and they have this special paint. It is like siding, super thick and susposedly really good. Well, after that my husband thinks we may be doing it ourselves this spring. i was like yeah, sure, with baby strapped to my back:lol

HI we are in az too... if you have a single level home you can YOU CAN do this yourself... you need a paint sprayer and a few hours... the biggest expense is the paint... and if you look around there are usually coupons for FRAZZE paint... get the meausrement of your home and have the paint guys figure out how much you need...
painting w. a rented sprayer isnt that hard....and it adds tons of value to your home

Though, depending on the cost, I most certainly will make the time, you know?
