I picked up a cheap-o tie-dye kit at Michael's today, since I've always wanted to give it a try. I want to do something small in case I screw up. I was thinking of getting some white flannel, sewing them into 8x8 squares (for wipes), and dying those. I figure they'd be small, so I could do a few of them with my small kit, as well as have more of a chance of something coming out pretty. LOL.

So, can you dyeregular flannel?

Yes you can. Remember that flannel is thirstier than lighter weight cotton so it will suck up more dye and take a little extra to rinse out.

Thanks! I ended up using a couple onesies and t-shirts. They are still setting, I can't wait to see how they turn out!
