My all-day seasickness set in today. I'm hoping it's just a fluke and I'll feel better tomorrow, because I'm not looking forward to 2+ months of feeling like crap while trying to mother my 17mo. All I wanted to do today was lie on the sofa and close my eyes to make the world stop spinning.
Of course DS wants me to get up and play with him when he's feeling ok, and wants to nurse when he's not - he's been sick and is even clingier than usual. We've been watching WAY too much TV the past week (we used to be basically tv-free!)
Other moms who've BTDT, what do you do to keep your toddler happy while you feel like crap?

My 13mo grabs my hair to keep it from falling in the toilet :throb No-one's EVER done that for me before, remind me to return the favour if she needs it in 20 years time.
Fresh air is helping me. I've also been grabbing the bags you get in public toilets- the ones for wrapping sanpro in- and keeping them in my handbag in case of emergency and just getting on with things no matter how bad I feel.

Hugs mamma. I have a 17mo too! Born 8/9/05. The illness hasn't hit me yet and I'm trying my hardest to avoid it this time around. I think last pregnancy I wasn't eating nearly enough, and the hypoglycemia started a vicious cycle. This pregnancy I am eating much more often...and better quality foods.

Oh, I am right there with ya! I swear my almost two year old KNOWS she is going to have to give up her coveted "only" status. She is clinging to me like never before! (And she has always been high needs!) She wants me to hold her while I cook, while we shop, when we go on walks . . . I am exhausted. And nauseated.
So I don't have any BTDT advice for you - just know you aren't alone.

I can relate. My other children have been spaced quite far apart so I could always sleep in during the first trimester exhaustion. Funny enough my 22 month old doesn't seem to want to cooperate with that and is getting up earlier than ever. He definitely can't be unsupervised so here I am dragging butt. I am so happy to be feeling so many symptoms but it does make it hard to keep up with him. We've been watching a bit too much tv as well. I am looking forward to the warmer weather so we can just be outside.

I'm a WOHM, but when I'm home I get that. I feel for those who must do it 24/7. Sorry, just wanted to give you some <HUGS>. When DP and I are both home, he does practically everything.

No suggestions only that I can relate, too. I didn't ahve this issue with pregnancy with DD2 as DD1 was 7 years older. I could sleep to my heart's content. I have no idea how I'm going to survive with a 22 month old who is suddenly extra clingy and demanding! :lol
