AF like cramps??

Hi guys,

I just found out yesterday that I'm pregnant again and really didn't think i was.....because I had AF cramps like crazy!!

Now.....I really should know this being a midwife and all but I turn into a paranoid wreck in early pregnancy: Is it very common to have AF like cramping and a heavy feeling in the uterus?:o
I seem to remember having the same thing happen with DS and all was hunkydory!

I hardly ever see women this early in pregnancy so not much experience with this......

I have had AF cramps every time for a couple weeks after I find out. Completely normal ,IMO . Congratualtions!!!

I had cramps for the first three weeks after I found out I was pregnant, but they didn't feel exactly like AF cramps. I got them mainly when I would get up from a sitting or lying position. It was weird. :)

Yep! I was SURE I was about to m/c (I even carried tampons around with me for weeks after getting a positive blood test because it felt so much like af cramps) but everything was fine!

I had cramps the day my period was supposed to show. I was completely convinced that AF was coming right on time...since my cramps were so normal. I was shocked when I got the BFP, because it felt sooo much like AF coming.

I also remember the heavy feeling in my uterus.

They stopped fairly quickly though I think. Hope this helps.

I had awful cramps, exactly like a bad period, for several weeks during early pregnancy. They actually kept me from testing for the longest time, because I could FEEL that I was minutes away from starting my period!

Even after THREE positive HPT's, I managed to deny my pregnancy until about 7 or 8 weeks b/c I was SO sure SF would be coming any minute!!! Now at week 21, I don't miss those cramps at all!
