2nd & 3rd Labors, What week did your labor start on its own?

I'm just curious about 2nd and 3rd pregnancies when labor started on its own, if most people really actually go at about 40 weeks, or if some other week is actually more common!

With my 2nd, I went 4 days past the EDD. With my 3rd, I went 16 days past the EDD.

I'm now pregnant with #4, EDD in 9 days, and I don't expect her to arrive anytime soon.

Second was born 27 minutes before his due date, labor started early that morning. Third was born 2 days before her due date, labor started the previous night, late.

With my first I went 2 weeks late, second was 2 weeks late, 3rd was 3 weeks late, 4th was 2 weeks late, 5th was 2 weeks late, i think i am just a 42 weeker.

Third was 43 I did take castor oil with that one but not sure it worked.

With this I hope number 4 isnt 4 weeks late :yikes: :lol

First baby: labor started 39 weeks 3 days, born 39 weeks, 5 days
2nd baby: prodromal labor for over a week, "real labor" for 10 hours at 39 weeks, 6 days
3rd baby, it felt like I was in labor the whole 3rd trimester;) but "real labor" lasted about 10 hours and occured at 39 weeks, 5 days.

So all my babies have been born within a day or two of their "due dates." That's just me and how my body works. Some women naturally go to 38 or 42 weeks.

My second came in the 41st week (40w4d), a full week after my first(39w4d). We will see what #3 does in June!

I've never had spontaneous labor with any of them. Maddie was 11 days late and induced. With Ellyisa, I had my water break 2 days before my due date, but no contractions over 12 hours later. With Claire I was 8 days late and induced.

Well, in your case especially, i wouldn't consider them "late" i would just consider you have a 42 week gestational period! God Bless you!!

I've never had spontaneous labor

sorry, i was just looking for a pole of those that did go into spontaneous labor... to see what naturally was "normal" birthing weeks for second and third labors...
My OB told me that 2nd & 3rd babies like to "stay in there longer" I was just taking a pole to see if he was right... so far, it is all over the spectrum!!

I'm starting to think there is no rhyme or reason to when a baby decides to come... what's up w/that??? What, they can come and go as they please?? I hate the unknown!!!
