I have three reading suggestions for you. You can find the books on amazon.com - I suggest buying used, or finding them at the public library for your purposes.

"What the Bible Really Says About Homosexuality" by Daniel Helminiak, ISBN #188636009x. A short book that gets straight (ha!) to the point.

"Stranger At the Gate: To Be Gay & Christian in America" by Mel White. ISBN #0452273811. Mel used to be the ghostwriter for such people as Jerry Fallwell, Pat Robertson and Oliver North. Kinda sentimental, but readable.

"The Church & the Homosexual" by John McNeill. ISBN #0807079316. Very thorough but maybe needs an revised version?

I'd suggest going to amazon and reading the reviews. I own all three books, and highly recommend all three.
